Depicts Marilyn as a naive dumbe blonde, with that breathy voice, which was only an act pushed by the studios. It doesn't even have her hair color right. It's a man-hating revenge film. She undergoes endless abuse, including the "casting floor", but wins out in the end by becoming Mariyn the star.
Terrible script; terrible acting. Not graphic, but there is some nudity. Not even the saving grace of an attractive cast to offset the bad quality. Misty Rowe is painful to watch as Marilyn Monroe- what a travesty! This is a very bad exploitation film, with little relation to reality.

I saw this movie years ago and thought, "How degrading!" Why would someone put such tripe out there to destroy the image of such a delightfully loving person? I was really upset about it. A review reporter agreed with me and said her estate should sue. This movie was made prior to the Marilyn and the Kennedy investigation became public. When most people died, in due time they are forgotten, but Marilyn kepted getting more popular, even with people who weren't even born at the time of her beginning stardom or her death. I feel this movie was made to try and cheapen her so that the public would forget her and never care to find out what really happened. Misty Rowe did a fantastic job in this movie, but I feel that its effect caused Marilyn fans to personally blame her for cheapening Marilyn's image when in all truth it was the producers and writers of the movie that did. I'm glad I got the movie. It lets me know how far some will go to make money off trying to destroy the innocents of the world.

This is the worst movie of Marilyn Monroe ever. I did't even get to finish it and had to take it out and hope I can re-sell it, or even give it away. The actress who plays Marilyn looks like Reese Witherspoon, nothing like Marilyn. Don't waist your money buying this is pure junk.

I was shocked when I saw that Larry Buchanan had directed this as I had no idea he had any talent. This fun bio of Marilyn Monroe is surprising in it's accuracy as well as quality. Misty Rowe (of HEE HAW fame) is very good as Ms Monroe (and does some great nude scenes)...This movie has an undeserved bad reputation and has aged well. This one is worth seeking out and is really a better film than the similar one made for HBO a few years ago with Ashley Judd and Mia Sorvino sharing the title role

...but the truth of the matter is: Norma Jean Baker (aka Marilyn Monroe) was an amazingly talented woman who suffered from the torment of many personal "demons".

Marilyn worshippers are angered by the exploration of her darker side, which demonstrates her raw humanity rather than the artificial goddess image they so desperately cling to.

Well folks, there's enough of that glitter sprinkled throughout Monroe's incredible filmography. If you are interested in learning more about the fragile and vulnerable human being behind the image, then treat yourselves to this film which -- by the way -- features a stunning performance by Hee Haw's Misty Rowe.

This movie was great! The only downfall was the fact that there seemed to be no real happy ending, it seems like she just suffered and her career only made her feel worse as a person. What I don't understand is why she would do all of this for something that isn't even that important...I guess it was burning inside of her. An amazing film! I really hate her last line in the movie when she gets discovered, she basically says "Now I don't have to s#!k c$%^s anymore!"
