Book Description

Is this you? You go on a diet, you lose a little weight, you stop dieting, you gain back more weight? Do you go through an endless cycle of counting calories and watching everything you put into your mouth but nothing ever seems to work? Author, Kim Rinehart, was like this, too. After being stymied by diets that required special foods or special preparation, she finally found a way that was easy and relatively painless. One that allowed her to eat what she wanted and still lose weight. What's even better is that she could eat cheeseburgers and french fries or whatever else she liked while doing it. It's also so easy that anyone can do it. Sound too good to be true? It's not. Kim Rinehart's memoir of weight loss, Goodbye, Fatty! Hello, Skinny! How I Lost Weight And Still Ate The Foods I Loved-Without Dieting will show how you to lose weight by simply rearranging your eating habits. This is not your ordinary weight loss book. This one actually works.

5.0 out of 5 stars Seeing good results. July 18, 2009
By dc
Format:Paperback
Reading this book was quick and easy. The proposed plan was also quick and easy. I found a lot of inspiration and it really cleared my mind to get to the task at hand--losing the weight once and for all. I apprecaiated the author's candor and insight. I, too, have been fooled into buying into all these other crazy ways to diet. Sure, some are good, but mostly, it's a lot of work. This isn't a lot of work and I don't have to think about it all the time. I just do what she did and I have been having good results.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT BOOK, EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS!! September 17, 2009
Format:Paperback
Everyone should read this book. Especially if you have been a life long dieter and you just want to lose the weight and be done with it!! A very common sense approach and not so hazy that you will feel like you are on your own like other non-dieting approaches. I hate those books that say Eat what you want whenever you are hungry and just stop when you are full like it's the easiest thing in the world. It's not!! This book has a plan and you will not feel deprived!! Go for it! Don't miss out on this one!!! :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable read September 19, 2009
By Jill
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I really looked forward to reading this book and I wasn't disappointed. It is a good read. Kim found a simple plan that worked for her. It is a plan that would work for others. I like that she doesn't beat herself up or make fat jokes about herself. I read one book whose author had lost a lot of weight as an adult yet the author still wanted to punish some unkind boys because of comments they had made several years before in high school. She needed to "lose that weight." She was very crtical of herself and others. I did not find that humorous. I found it sad.
Kim's book is not critical. Kim's book is helpful. Nice easy breezy read.
Enjoyable and helpful.

5.0 out of 5 stars No more diets for me!! December 2, 2009
Format:Paperback
I am so glad I found this book! Having been on a diet most of my adult life, I was to the point of just giving up on it all. I've tried just about everything out there and while I lose a little weight, it does come back. When I got this book, I was despairing about the weight on me and didn't get to it for a few weeks. Then I thought, Oh, well, let's just get this over with. But I was so glad I took the time once I started reading. It was like the author was telling my story, as she recounted her own struggles of gaining and losing weight. I really liked how she desribed the diets she went on and I laughed out loud several times. But the most imporatant thing I read was about how she finally just gave up on dieting and surmised her situation. She found a way to do it and then she did. While it did take her some time, the weight didn't come back, which is what always happens to me. Best of all, this plan is easy to do and it doesn't make me feel like I am depriving myself at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars great book for men too December 21, 2009
Format:Paperback
This is not only a great story but it is also a really great way to look at losing weight. Like the author, I had over sixty pounds to lose. Now thanks to this book and the encouragement that I got from it, I'm not on my way to my goal. This is a very down-to-earth and real story of weight loss and I think that anyone who has struggled with dieting would really benefit from reading it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must read for those who want to get out of the diet loop! December 16, 2009
Format:Paperback
The gist of this book is...it's not about what you eat, it's about how much you eat. After a few years of dieting, exercising, the whole bit, I had just about been at my wit's end trying to lose some post-pregnancy weight.

So, I was so glad to come across this book. It really got me motivated to finally lose the poundage I'd accumilated over the past several years--perhaps from munching on my childs' leftover chicken nuggests??--and to finally lose the weight. It's been easier than I ever thought. Also, the author's fun, humorous attitude motivated me. She was where I was--overweight and not so happy about it and she went through almost the exact same thing I did--dieting and trying to lose weight for years.

So, she gave all that up and came to the conclusion about how she could lose weight while still eating what she liked. Well, that just blew me over. Why hadn't I ever thought of that? Well, not I know and I am on a weight loss crusade.

It's been a few months since I read the book--I wanted to put it into practice before I reviewed--but I can tell a world of difference. This is a must read book for anyone who wants to get out of the diet loop!

5.0 out of 5 stars great story about weight loss December 5, 2009
Format:Paperback
I really enjoyed this book. It was an easy read and how the author finally figured out how to lose weight made a lot of sense. It was also funny and very positive. She didn't get technical and explained everything in real terms that anybody could understand. It was just a real treat to read.

1.0 out of 5 stars Didn't work
The writing is childish and redundant. Don't buy this book, it doesn't work at all and it'll make you feel worst than you already feel.
