When my ~five-year-old heating system blew out over the weekend during a record-breaking low, I didn't like to even think what it would cost to get it fixed. Fortunately, turned out all I needed to do was replace the ignitor. This is a slightly different part from the factory-original Goodman ignitor -- be sure to keep the screws from the original ignitor, though, as the ones this one ships with don't have standard screw heads -- but apart from that, this'll replace your original just fine. Good thing, too -- the hundred bucks I saved by replacing this part myself should be enough to get the dog out of pawn.

Purchased this mostly based on the picture that closely matched my existing igniter. The product went in easily and worked will. The only issue was that the plug was already attached, making it impossible to route the wires through the metal guard. Pulling gently while twisting on each wire got them to come out with no damage, and then I routed them and put the plug back on.

Haven't had any issues with my furnace since.

If you need one of these and can install it yourself, buy two. That way, when the new one fails someday, you will not be without heat for long!
