I fell in love with her voice the first time I heard this song at a Starbucks.
I froze with my cappuccino to my lips, and closed my eyes.
Her voice so clear..so angelic. The melody so simple, so breath-taking.
"who is this?" i grabbed the nearest barista and made him run to the back and find out the singer for me.

This was my introduction to Shivaree... half watching a music video show one morning... sick of the same old... then hearing this magnificent song. Ambrosia's voice is so angelic, and the songwriting/playing/arrangements are perfect.

Don't buy the single - BUY THE WHOLE ALBUM !! you will not regret it. When you've bought "I Oughtta Give you a shot..." and fallen in love with the band, buy "Rough Dreams" - you'll love it as well :)

This peticular track is a very sexy song, that I find to be quite intoxicating to listen to. If you get into the lyrics and imagine a story to go along with it, you'll kinda spook yourself out.

Listen to this song in a pub, I was surprised to find out that it came out in 1999...wow...Still very good after so many years.
The only disappointment is this CD I have bought from Amazon contains only 3 songs...I didn't expect that.

This is a beautiful song with soft vocals that are yet so powerful to send chills down your spine. However.... I recommend that you purchase the entire album called "I oughtta give you a shot in the head for making me live in this dump".

About the single: there were 2 different releases. a one track and a 3 track single

(tracks 2 and 3) only appear in certain singles so ask the specific seller for more info. if you are going to cuff up the extra cash on the single, i recommend that you get the one with the two extra tracks that can only be found here. you will not be disappointed.
