If you ever listened to the song Lullabye and closed your eyes- I bet these are the images you saw. It would make a wonderful Baby shower gift, or a "just because" gift for any child, especially your own.

I chose this song to play for my niece at my brother's funeral. He died at 48, on August 8, 2004. My niece is only nine. I had seen Billy Joel interviewed and he spoke of this song. I didn't know it had been made into a book until I spotted it in a store. I got a copy for my mother, and one for my niece and sister-in-law. I wrote in it that she and her mommy can read it together now, and she can read it to HER children (and listen to the beautiful song) when she tells them about her daddy, my brother.

It's a perfect book to explain death to a child.

Artist Gilbert outdoes herself..these are the pictures that stay with you when you hear bill joel's amazing song. What a baby show gift!

This is a fav. song of mine and to find this book is perfect I truly enjoy every page and detail the illistrations are amazing and of course the words are amazing the cd makes this book a perfect bedtime story.

Billy Joel's gorgeous love song to his daughter makes an absolutely exquisite book, and the illustrations are perfect for the words. I have two little daughers who were immediately mesmerized by this book as the love of the father for his daughter radiates from every page. I have been a huge Billy Joel fan for 30 years so it was a natural addition to their book collection. Small children just feel the tremendous love contained in the words but grownups will understand their poignancy. An outstanding bedtime book!

I checked this book out at my local library & fell in love with it. The words are very tender to any parent of a little girl. I only have girls, but I would think this would be great for a boy as well. The words are generic, but the pictures are of a little girl & her Dad- and the pictures are AMAZING!
Since reading the book & listening to CD, we have bought this book as a gift & for ourselves. We play the song everynight as we put our little ones asleep. It's a must-have!

My father and I danced to this song at my wedding reception. The book is full of great pictures and relates a story to children...remember the stories, tell the stories, they will always be a part of me...

Absolutely gorgeous book with CD. One of the special ones to keep for future generations, long after our little Angel grows up.

A very good friend recommended this book for my granddaughter. My son recently died, and she felt this book could help her stay connected to her daddy. When I first heard the lullabye along with the book, the tears flowed. There are many different ways this book and words to the song can be used.

I love this book, the illustrations, and the cd. My daughter loves to look at the book and turn the pages with the music. The colors in the illustrations are just beautiful.
