I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I became so interested in the characters, I had trouble putting the book down when I needed to sleep. As a historic interpreter myself, I really liked the idea of a story involving a historic person and a modern person who researches them and shares their story with others. I really loved the surprise ending! I am looking forward to other books by this engaging author.

I love time-travel stories, and this is no exception. Author Marla Fair has an eloquently-descriptive style that brings the reader into the story and the building tension carries us along to the very end. There's even some comic relief that makes the readers smile. The characters are very believable, and we come to care very much about them. I enjoyed this book very much.
