This portable Goodyear 12 Volt inflator is designed to inflate vehicle, ATV, motorcycle and bicycle tires as well as sports equipment. It includes a 4-way light for emergency use; white light, white strobe, red light and red strobe. A built-in pressure gauge lets you check the pressure as your tire inflates. Based on the 2 earlier 5-star reviews (probably written by company shills), I bought this piece of junk. It worked fine for 40 days, then simply stopped working altogether one day when I really needed it. Neither the lights nor the pump motor will work (the car's power outlets work just fine with my cell phone charger).
Will try to get money back (or a replacement) from Goodyear, but I'm not holding my breath.

The features write-up said: "Preset analog pressure gauge with automatic shut-off when desired pressure is achieved". However, it's not what I thought it was...which is I select the PSI and it turns off when that is reached. I guess I don't know what they mean by that statement. That's the main reason I selected this model, so I'm disappointed.

Bought in November of 2011 and have been using the Goodyear i4000 Tire Inflator for 5 months now once a week on my parent's car. I'm maintaining their Lexus ES300 which developed a slow leak, which according to a local tire shop is caused by chrome flaking from the wheel resulting in an imperfect seal between tire and wheel. The pump has worked as expected (I had reservations after reading bad reviews here). It takes about 3-4 minutes to pump the deflated tire from ~15PSI to ~35PSI.
All functionality on mine works, including the light. The power cord is plenty long for my parent's 4 door sedan and I've tried it on my GF's Ford Expedition SUV and the tire pump reaches all 4 tires just fine as well (I just tested the length of the cord, I did NOT actually inflate the SUV tire).
Overall, I'm happy with the purchase: $8.97 with free super saver shipping.
I'll be purchasing a couple more if and when the price falls back to my previous purchase price.

This air pump appears to be able to do what the mfg. said it would. It hasn't been put to much of a test yet though so we'll have to wait and see how it holds up. Read more
