If you should find yourself in a rehab of your mothers home with your dunderheaded brother and should dunderheaded brother decide to paint the house with an industrial painting machine... and consequently turn almost everything that shouldn't be white, white, well you need this product.

It had been recommended to me but didn't want to get it because it was very flammable and I was told gave off fumes. I tried everything else first... they were pathetic. The paint barely budged. Finally I gave in and tried this. OMG the paint came off like butter and no damage to the underlying wood stain. It does take some scrubbing but not the arm drubbing that I was doing with the other stuff. I removed paint off stained boarders. I removed paint off heater vents. I removed paint off door knobs (no damage to underlying brass). There was no damage to anything... they looked like fine art I had recovered. I also used it to remove glue. It reminds me of nail polish remover in the way it takes off paint. I did scrub a bit too hard once and it seemed to be removing the stain, but I had been at it about an hour.

Don't waste your time on all the other products out there. Get this first.

I have no experience with paint removal as another reviewer has but this stuff removes one of the toughest tackling jobs! Everyone must be familiar with those damnable labels that uncaring retail stores apply to items they sell - and they always seem to apply them in the worst places. Well, Goof Off will remove that gluey junk that remains once you're able to get the paper off; and it does it easily. If you are dealing with Lucite or a lucite type material, check this product in a hidden place before tackling the label glue since SOME lucite type materials get damaged from this product. However, nothing else works like Goof Off against that awful glue from labels.

Yes, this stuff will release you from all that sticky stuff left from bar code labels, price tags and packaging tape. It is great, AND it has not affected anything I have tried yet. I would still advise you try a little bit on something of similar material just to be sure. Very well engineered stuff. AND with an excellent TRULY child proof cap. Yep, this stuff deserves 5 stars! I originally bought it to remove Boy Scout patches that were affixed with "Badge Magic", but have not needed it yet....soon as my oldest just GOT HIS EAGLE SCOUT RANK!!!! Great Stuff!

I have used this product twice to remove adhesive from my windshield and it works just great. All adhesive removed and did not affect the interior of the vehicle where I had managed to spill a few drops.

Used Goof Off to remove a small strip of scotch tape residue on surface of our dining room table. It removed the tape residue but also destroyed the finish of my dining room table. Would not/not use this product on varnished surfaces although the label states that it is OK for use on varnished surfaces.

We recently painted my daughter's room a bright orange color .We used painters tape everywhere but a strip came loose around a piece of white trim and I got paint on it .This took it right off and even removed a ink stain on light carpet .We are very happy using this product and will be ordering more soon because we still have a lot of rooms to paint!
