But other than that, it is a fairly good solvent that is great at removing all kinds of paints from different surfaces. I used it to remove latex paint that had dried on vinyl siding. It made the vinyl a bit darker, but the vinyl will fade to a lighter color with sun exposure. Other negatives are that it has a very strong odor (I wouldn't use it indoors) and dries very fast (meaning you need to wipe off the paint within 3 seconds while the Goof-Off is still wet--once it evaporates you won't be able to wipe anything off).
Some of the latex paint I was unable to remove, so I used acetone instead. Acetone is a bit stronger and works better for dissolving latex paint. It evaporates just as quickly, but doesn't have as powerful an odor as Goof-off. And it is cheaper than Goof-off.
Great stuff and would highly recommend.

all the toxic fumes before washing or your washer will smell like goof off.
Also have plenty of ventilation in the area that you are working in.
Next, I thought to myself; "I wonder if it will take off old, baked on mold around the window and doors seals?" I tried everything on it: bleach, comet, Wesley's Bleach White and nothing worked. Well guess what? This stuff wiped it clean. Buy a can! You won't be disappointed. Oh, one thing to remember is to wax the area you cleaned on the painted surfaces. THis stuff will somewhat dull the finish, but not to the point to where it can't be restored with some wax....Kurt
