Often times, I find myself out of battery by the middle of the day because the phone was not fully charged up at night.

Oddly, the rubber surface cannot hold the phone in place.

I bought this the same day it went out on Google Play (not here on Amazon, as the prices are even more nuts than the regular price). While I had the screen protection film that comes stuck on the back of the Nexus 4, my phone didn't slip off at all. It wouldn't move. It was awesome. But keeping that protector on wasn't.

After I removed the protector, it wouldn't stick at all. I ordered a replacement charger and got it. On the first day, the phone stuck perfectly. On the second day, it didn't anymore. It's been a week and I've been trying every day. No matter what I do, it doesn't stick. This charger is the most amazing thing that failed for the most silly reason. How can such an expensive device have such a simple flaw that completely negates what could be an amazing utility?

I'm requesting a refund today.

I am so disappointed. I tried so hard. I really wanted not to write this review.

Charger 1 Couldn't keep the phone attached. Slid right off.
Charger 2 Couldn't keep the phone attached. Slid right off
Charger 3 Not arrived yet but I will be very surprised if it works. Google has been very good at sending out new chargers but what a waste of time. I asked if this was a common problem but the question was evaded. Must note that I purchased directly from Google.
I cannot recommend this charger. It Looks great but form does not follow function. Has anyone had one work I wonder? Bad, bad device. Save your pennies/dollars!
Charger 3 arrived and did exactly the same thing after 3 days of use. Returned for full refund.
Purchased through Google play and they have been very helpful.

This orb is a joke. To look at it online you would think it's pretty cool. Just set your phone on the orb and it magically sticks there to charge, right? I figured maybe there was some sort of magnet or something.

My husband and I each bought Nexus4s recently and jumped at the chance to purchase these cool products as soon as they were available. We are Google nuts, and love just about everything Google offers.

Unfortunately the orb, to put it politely, did not live up to our expectations... and neither did Google.

The surface of this orb is some sort of silicone that barely adheres to the phone at all. We tried everything we could to keep the phone from sliding off during the night. We put it on different tables, propped things in front of it, etc. Since the phone kept sliding down off the orb, we tried putting bumpers underneath to make the surface of the orb more horizontal.

That didn't work either, and last night the orb dropped my husband's phone off of the nightstand, and completely shattered the screen.

This morning he tried calling Google on the published Nexus support line to ask them to refund the money for the orb, and help him replace the screen since it was their product the broke it.

They flat our refused saying that they don't fix broken screens, and they don't refund products after 15 days.

Google has completely betrayed some loyal customers by selling us a product that does not work and causes damage to our property. Not only was our phone broken, but so was our trust in Google.

The phone slides down the face until it is out of position and then stops charging. I can't belive that this could have gotten into production without someone noticing this.

This device seems like a great idea. It isn't. The idea is that it holds the phone at an angle so that it could be used as a sort of dock on your desk. That would work if it had a ledge rather than magnets to hold the phone in place. About two weeks after the return policy said I could return it, it stopped holding my phone for more than a few minutes. I place it on the charger exactly as I have always done and it slips off. When it slides far enough to make contact with the desk, the charging antenna in the phone is no longer perfectly lined up with the antenna in the charger. At that point, it senses that it is there and causes the phone to repeatedly make the sound that is supposed to let you know that you have it in the correct place. I keep mine by my bed, so I have been awakened several times by this noise. I've had serious battery problems with my phone all week because it isn't getting properly charged anymore. I'm about to make a dock for the dock so that it holds the charging surface level, which is how it should have been made.

I bought the N4 and the wireless charger the days they both came out. I love the phone, This charger not so much. The first week I owned this charger I would have probably jumped on here and given it 5 stars. But it's been about 3 weeks and I haven't touched the charger. Why not you ask? because the phone slides all the time. After 5 or 10 mintues it completely slides off and doesn't hold a charge. Just google this problem, its happened to a lot of people. But you can choose to avoid all these negative reviews and waste your money. Doesn't effect me too much.

Maybe this will help you believe me a little more. I'm the same person who has the top review for the Google Nexus 4 Phone 8GB - Unlocked here on Amazon. Just throwing out there. I'm glad to know some people are still getting a use out of this overpriced toy.

If you have any questions. As always let know, I keep tabs on all my reviews.
