I received my copy of The Goon Cartoons years ago. I didn't realize how valuable it was until I punched in the search details into Amazon.
If you are a Goon Show fan and would like to introduce others to the Goon Show world, this is a good start. It picks up the flavour and atmosphere of the original Goon Shows. Taken from the actual scripts, the comedy is easy to follow and should prove interesting to those studying the history of comedy and its influences of later comic troops like Monty Python and some American comics. |
