4.0 out of 5 stars Deep Trouble II, June 3, 2004
By A Customer
Billy Deep and his sister Sheena are spending another summer in the Caribbean on their uncle's totally cool floating lab. The weather is beautiful. And there are lots of neat places to go swimming and snorkeling.

Billy and Sheena are great swimmers. But even great swimmers get into trouble--especially this year. This year there's something really scary going on under the sea. The fish all seem to be growning. Bigger and Bigger. Into monter-sized sea creatures. With monster-sized appetities..

WATCH OUT!

4.0 out of 5 stars Giant fish, March 15, 2010
This review is from: Goosebumps #58: Deep Trouble II (Paperback)
A year has passed and Billy and Sheena are back to visit their uncle on his boat. Billy is hunted by a giant fish when out snorkelling. The giant fish turns out to be a minnow, a fish normally no bigger than 30 cm. What is happening to the ocean life? Why and how have they grown so large?

Another nice story about Billy and his maritime adventures. The goldfish/snail scene was sad, though. It would've been nice if Stine had touched upon their fates.

2.0 out of 5 stars Bad, February 15, 2010
This review is from: Goosebumps #58: Deep Trouble II (Paperback)
This is the worst sequel in the original series behind Haunted Mask.

It's a sequel to one my fav GB Books Deep Trouble.
Deep Trouble II opens one year after the events of the previous book. Billy and Sheena are back on summer vacation with Dr. D in the Caribbean

Then a shark starts attacking the boat. Then they are attack by some more fish monsters.Three unpleasant men show up on Dr. D's boat. The head man introduces himself as Dr. Ritter. Dr. Ritter had developed the special magical plankton using science to make fish bigger and end world hunger.

Latter on,Dr. Ritter reveals that the enchanted plankton has a serious side effect: whenever it is ingested by a human, the human turns into a fish for life.

Dr. D tries to hold Dr. Ritter down on the deck of the ship but he breaks free, grabs some plankton, and swallows it before Dr. D can call the police. Dr. Ritter then indeed does turn into a fish and merely swims away.

Sheena then takes a big gulp from another bottle of Plankton which is predictably followed by her being unsure she picked the right one.

This Books Stinks. I give it 2 stars.

My daughter is 11. She isn't a big reader, but she loves both Deep Trouble and Deep Trouble 2. We recently purchased both of them. She had them read within the same day that she got them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Review of Deep Trouble II, March 8, 2007
A Kid's Review
At first I thought this book was going to be boring but after I read this I thought it was great. That thats why I read the book at my favorite part. It was the time that Billy used the ice tea trick to keep himself from drinking a bottle of plankton Dr.Ritter made to enlarge sea animals but it will turn people into a fish forever. Good thing that didn't happen.
