This single-disc collection includes the following:

Hung-Kuen vs. Wing Chun (English subtitles, widescreen)
Shaolin vs. Vampire (back cover shows the Rarescope cover)(English subtitles, fullscreen)
Shaolin Kids In Hong Kong (back cover shows Shaw Legends Collection cover) (dubbed English, fullscreen)
Carry On Wise Guy (English subtitles, fullscreen)

This VideoAsia release is pretty sub-par. The copy on the back cover says "This four film collection has some of his new and greatest works." They might be new, but they are definitely not his greatest. At least two of the "films" look like they were shot on a very cheap video camera. I have a decent collection of martial arts films and I understand that the quality of a lot of the old movies is not going to be HD. I'll happily watch a fullscreen transfer with laughable dubbing and outrageous stunts. But at least two of these "films" are unwatchable in my opinion (Carry On Wise Guy and Shaolin vs. Vampire). If you don't have 36th Chamber get that first, then King Boxer (the Dragon Dynasty releases are very good). Fist of the White Lotus is another great Gordon Liu flick. Stay away from this release unless you really want to see Hung-Kuen vs. Wing Chun. That movie does not have great action but at least you can see Gordon Liu one more time in what is more of a weak comedy role. Warning: There are no extended fight scenes or really any good fight scenes at all in this movie except for one near the end. This movie may also be known as "Hung Kuen Marries Wing Chun" as it is mostly about two kids getting together despite their fathers.

Here is the info from the distributor:
To legions of fans he is known as the "Master Killer." Gordon Liu Chia Hui stands out as one of the Shaw Bros.

Shaolin v Vampires is weird. If you like Shaolin v Evil Dead, then you will like it. If you like Ed Wood or other weird cult movies, then you will like it.
It is my understanding that this flick was lost for a while and then recovered.
The Shaolin Kids flick had some really bad dubbing. I don't care about the crappy picture quality. I've seen worse in other HK flix. Bad movie, good kung fu.
Hung Kuen vs Wing Chun was originally called Hung Kuen marries Wing Chun and I think it was made for television. It was more like a light romantic comedy mixed with the movie "Grumpy Old Men," in China. I liked it. It was fun to watch Gordon Liu play this character. It was cheesy, but fun anyway.

These are far from the best movies Gordon Liu ever made. The 36th Chamber (Master Killer) series is better. So is 8 Diagram Pole Fighter.
Actually, anything he did with the Shaw Brothers blows these out of the water, and luckily many of the best ones are being remastered by Dragon Dynasty.

But what you do get is a chance to see the Master Killer doing something different in some really weird movies.
And if all else fails, you can always invite some friends over to get drunk and make fun of the screen with you.

Sorry Lui but if it is not Shaw Brothers then you should not be in it.
