Mildly entertaining; can't recommend it

Ramsay's take on the "you can do it" type of cooking show. As you'd expect, it's high-energy and packed with Ramsay saying how every little thing we're about to do is the "most amazing" this or "most amazing" that.
Not knowing the show before I bought it, I was surprised to find that it's also packed with lights, quick camera cuts, and irrelevant people (with excessive make-up and thick accents) doing trashy wise-cracks. And music that's cute the first time you hear it; but maddening, every time after that.
As to the food: It seems OK, but a bit dull (nothing I'm dying to try out). And Ramsay rushes it. This show has an amazing (so to speak) amount of padding around the actual cooking, and you learn hardly anything.
If you really want to cook along with Ramsay, he must have some better cooking DVD out there. (What? His YouTube clips are wonderful; what show are they from?) Also note that the recipe cards included with this DVD give metric measurements, not U.S.
