I did not like this book past the history section. It is written by people who to me seem to have no care or interest in hunting dogs which the Gordon was always bred to be.
Rather they focus on show where many have changed the standards so that many Gordons are heavy ponderous and no longer hunting dogs.
If that is the type of Gordon you are looking for you may like this book.
I also felt that it contained a great deal of general politically correct dog care information.

This book is absolutely and utterly comprehensive -- it's probably the only book you'll need. I've been thinking about getting a Gordon, and am as thoughtful a person about that as I am about everything else; but this book did cover subjects I hadn't thought about (and just adorable fotos throughout!).
