This is truely a splendid book for the Gordon Setter owner/fancier.
This book was published 18 years ago and it brings a tear to my eye knowing that all of the beautiful setters pictured have passed on. They have gone to a better place. About the book: This is an informative book about the breed,it is easy reading rather than boring.This book is loaded with with many well-taken pictures. Topics covered are; 1:History and description of the breed 2:Standard of the gordon 3:Grooming 4:Field Training 5:Selecting your dog 6:The New Family Member 7:Feeding Requirements 8:Housebreaking and Training 9:Behaviour Modification 10:Health Care 11:Preventative Dental Care 12:Breeding 13:Dogs and the Law The fist third/half of the book is about Gordons and the second half generalizes about Dogs,a good book nonetheless.
