This review is from: Gore Bike Wear Men's Fusion SO 3/4 Pants (Apparel)
I have used windproof water-resistant knickers for both cycling and cross-country skiing for years now and mourned when suddenly they disappeared off the market just after I bought the one pair I have. I have looked for a replacement pair for years....and at last Gore has heard my cry for such an item. These are supposedly mens pants, but due to the waistband "forgiveness in design" a woman can wear these comfortably. They are not cheap, but have a good, tough design and good materials, so I expect them to last for many seasons. I live the the Pacific Northwest where we can expect rain any day of the year even in summer. Especially in the fall and spring when it is not "drenching" and it is not as cold as midwinter, I can see these 3/4 length pants doing the right job. For Cross-country skiing, I can wear my regular sox and gaitors and not suffer the "bunchy lower leg syndrome" that you get when wearing full-length cross country pants with gaitors. I love the pants and will wait to see how well they hold up compared to the old pair (different brand) I had before.
