5.0 out of 5 stars Simple yet effective
It doesn't get more simple than this tire pressure gauge but it does its job and does it well. The pressure reading is accurate, feels solid in the hand and has proven to be reliable and consistent with the readings.

3.0 out of 5 stars Works okay but tricky on my tires
The angle of the nozzle makes it hard to fit the valves on some of my tires because the rod knocks against my hub cap. I'm now looking for one that has a slightly different head configuration.

Works as expected! Can't really mess up a tire gauge right?--Surprisingly, I found this to be untrue. While airing my tires I found that my cheap 50 cent gauge was giving me incorrect readings. Soon as I switched to the Gorilla gauge, I was getting correct readings [confirmed by other gauges]. So you can't go wrong here!

This Gorilla Automotive TG1 Pencil Style Tire Pressure Gauge is well built and made to last. The air bleed pin, on the top back of the gauge, is nice and long making the task of letting air out of a tire easy and quick! The numbers, on the stick, are not to hard to read so you can see the pressure level even at night.

All I can say it does what it is supposed to do. It is accurate as I tested it with 2 other tire testers (i.e. Truck/Semi Tire Tester and Digital Tester) and all 3 were within 1 PSI of each other, which is superb.

Good tester, feels durable. Worth every penny.

It's not perfect but it let me know which tires needed air. Not for precision pressure monitoring, go with something else if that's what you're after

4.0 out of 5 stars good stocking stuffer for any car owner, December 17, 2010

Ordered 4 of these for stocking stuffers. Winter is here and once again tire pressures are low due to the cold. Maybe if everyone has a gauge they'll check it once in a while. Only 4 stars because of the ridiculous over-packaging. Also, 3 of them had a top reading of 50 psi and the other went to 85. The 50 psi ones were much easier to read. No batteries to go bad in these basic units.

Simple to use and small enough to be carried in your car. It doesn't feel like it's cheap. Good item for the price

This tire gauge does not work. No matter which tire I tested, the gauge indicator jumped all the way out as far as possible, past 50 pounds. I know all the tire pressures I checked were accurate between 32 and 35 psi as checked with other working tire gauges. I should have returned it to Amazon but forgot to until it was too late. I threw it in the trash.

I'm happy with this purchase. It is a very simple product at an affordable price and most importantly, it gets the job done. You'll have to get used to it at first because of the 'angle' tip, but once you get a grip, it is not much difference compared to the ones at a gas station (if you can find one that still work) and the reading is accurate.

Tip:
Inflate the air then slowly releasing it using the gauge until you reach the recommended pressure, and always leave it at least 5-8psi under the max (44psi max -- inflate to 38psi). This will reduce the chances of your tires blowing especially during hot weather conditions.
