Well, to be honest, both glues worked identical - same results.

Being a non-carpenter and a pretty unskillful woodworker I probably don't use as much of this stuff as many. That being said though, I do have the responsibility of minor repair work around the house which is sort of silly because in all likelihood my wife could do a better job of it.

Anyway, I had a small amount of Elmer's Wood Glue Max, something I normally have plenty of, but in this case simply ran out of the stuff. I went to the store and more or less at random thought I would give this Gorilla Glue a try.

Now I used this glue and the Elmer's Wood Glue Max on the same project; repairing a beat-up old table that has been setting on our back porch for several years which was is sore need of repair. Well, to be honest, both glues worked identical - same results. Both were easy to clean up with water and both actually had the binding power they said they have. (After both dried I sort of tried to take the joints I glued apart and let me tell you that in both cases, the wood would break long before the glued seam would...those puppies were stuck together big time. I think; as far as I could tell, that the Gorilla glue dried and set a bit faster than the Elmer's but in my case I could have cared less about the drying time.

The biggest difference I could find was the cost. This Gorilla glue cost just a bit more than the Elmer's but not enough to get overly excited about. The applicators worked just about the same (both being very easy to use) and the bottles, while different, were both easy to maneuver.

When all is said and done, as far as I am concerned, both products are about equal. I will use this current bottle up and then purchase which ever I have to pay the less for at the time of purchase.

I knocked out my front tooth when I was 8 years old riding BMX. I ended up getting a root canal and fake tooth put in. Well, a couple years ago the cement was coming loose and on the morning of a job interview the fake tooth came out! I panicked a little, then I remembered I had a bottle of Gorilla Glue left over from a ceiling fan incident that happened at a party the month before. Anyhow, I placed a little dab on the tooth mount and slid it back into position. Bam! Like a glove. That was about 4 years ago, and to this day that tooth is still holding strong.

Standard wood glue, does the job. I like the applicator tip which is a slit rather than a round hole and squeezes out most of the surplus glue when turned.

Seems to work fine. Like the applicator tip. My dad is a serious wood worker and uses Gorilla glue of some type on nearly all of his projects.

A family member had the dining room chair break while he was using it. He's a big dude and I'm not mad at him. I was able to reattach the leg but it was still wobbly. I ordered this wood glue and it works great! The chair is very solid over two monthes. And yes, he has sat in that chair again, but the chair is winning!
