Product Description

Duct tape is made for smooth, even, predictable surfaces. How many of your projects can be described that way? That's why we invented Gorilla Tape. Made to stick to rough, uneven, unforgiving surfaces like wood, stone, stucco, plaster, brick and more. Just like Gorilla Glue, Gorilla Tape is a breakthrough - that's why Popular Science put it on their "Best of What's New, 2006" list. Here's what they said: "Oh what MacGyver could have done with Gorilla Tape in place of his beloved gray stuff." Gorilla Tape is designed to stick to rough surfaces including wood, stucco, plaster, brick, metal and more. Gorilla Tape is manufactured with a highly concentrated rubber based adhesive - two to three times as thick as traditional duct tape. The result is a tape that fills gaps and penetrates rough surfaces. It is important to clean the surface and brush off any loose particles and dirt before applying Gorilla Tape.

Want a tape to get the work done? This stuff really sticks!! 3" wide allows for many applications such as taping my brothers mouth shut, ok not really. But, it did work wonders as edging for an outdoor rug that I purchased off Amazon.

Best tape ever, I've used it to patch a tarp pool cover submerged in water, and the tape has been holding perfectly so far for more than 2 months. I'll let you know by the spring if it lasted the whole season/winter.

Update 05/27/2014: OK I am very very impressed with the tape, all the patching I did last year held up all winter with water on the bottom and snow on the top.

Awesome stuff, sticks to anything and everything. Only tape I have found that will stick to concrete and stay stuck without withering away. This is the superglue of tape!

I use this under carpets and such to hold various stereo cables and wires in place in car audio.

Tip: If you find this stuff doesn't want to stick some places, one can make it stick like mad just about anywhere as follows:

In an area where dangerous overspray can't damage paint, etc, spray some SEM Plastic Adhesion Promoter (aerosol can) on a clean 4 folded rag. Then wipe down the formerly pesky "won't stick" area with the adhesion promoter. Now the Gorill tape will stick about thrice as aggressive as before.

The above also works when trying to get Gorilla Tape to stick to carpet. Wipe the carpet with the adhesion promoter... but it will take more drying time as the carpet may absorb more liquid promoter. Where I live, it never takes more drying time than 15 minutes even on carpet.

I bought this on the recommendation of a friend and he was not wrong. This stuff sticks anywhere. I have a boat-dock with a cover that is ripped at the top and the sides. My landlord would not replace the cover and I didn't want to spend $2500 to put a new cover on, so I tried this. Lo and behold... all the rips are covered and appear to be holding. I live on the California Delta and we have a lot of very windy days, so it remains to be seen how long it will hold, but for now... so far, so good.

You can't go wrong with any Gorilla brand product, the tape, the glue, etc. This is some very durable and strong tape that can bond all sorts of materials together. This specific gorilla tape is 3" wide, which is perfect for my uses. I would absolutely recommend this to a friend. Thanks!
