(Jobi sells larger heavier duty gorillapods for the full size cameras etc., but none I saw with a swivel handle)
A Joby marketing manager has a youtube video clip demonstrating this tripod where he uses two quick release clips to quickly swap a camera.
The Problem with that is:
Nowhere does Joby sell a quick release clip just for the "Gorillapod Video" tripod.
If you lose the clip that came with it, you apparently have to settle for buying the larger version. (but at least it works)
The JOBY site lists only TWO quick release clips. One for the Original gorillapod, (and a larger clip for the large-camera size gorilla pods).
Even on the "original" quick change clip, it doesn't list the "GorillaPod Video" tripod as compatible.
So, assuming no company would advertise something in a youtube video that they didn't offer for sale (?), I ordered the "original" quick release clips.
- Good news is yes, they will work.
- Bad news is they are a little longer and stick out further than the original "ONE" that comes with the video tripod.
The shorter one fits my Coolpix camera base perfectly. (But the accessory "original" style version sticks out past the body.)
so- I use the accessory ones with other devices, and put the clip that the video pod came with on my Coolpix camera.
I attached pictures showing the difference between the two clips.
The quick release clip screws have curved bottom screw slots. A coin such as a Nickel or Quarter works well to tighten it with.Read more ›
Trying to fix my tilt and pan problem, I tried adjusting the tension- if I go tight, it is really hard to move the head, and makes video jerky. If I loosen, the arm doesn't lock in like it should and then it doesn't work. I will keep trying to get it right, because I really want to love this product, but for now, it is 3 stars at best.
Also note- this will work great if you don't want to move the camera around!

that means it is very light and very easy to carry with you. i've had it in my back pocket and in the inside pocket of a blazer. It means also that it can only do so much.
it works as advertised. the legs wrap around stuff, and it holds the camera, and it pans and tilts.
i used it on a trip to chicago and had fun with it. it is easy to get level when setting it on non-flat surfaces.
the other reviews that discuss the stiffness of the panning mechanism and the fact that you have to hold it in place to pan or tilt are accurate.
on balance, i think it is a worthwhile gadget to have if you want to shoot video with a pocket camcorder.
i'm uploading a scene i shot with the legs wrapped around a rail and using the pan and tilt features. i did have to hold on to the tripod while shooting.
hope this helps.

I got this to use with my Flip Video. It works perfectly for my cam. It is very compact and does not take much space and is extremely easy to use.
Takes a few seconds to get the camera attached. The fact that it moves is one of the best features. You can move the camera to any angles you want and not have to worry about holding the camera if you dont want to or are unable to. Keeps the camera steady so you will come out with a good quality video. The legs of the tripod bend and move very easily and you could actually wrap the legs around an object and it would stay hanging on very well. The bottom of the legs of the tripod are actually magnetic and pretty powerful, that is a great feature! You could literally put the tripod sideways on your fridge and it would stay put! I put it on a dry erase board that is not as magnetized as a fridge but still held very well.
Its very light and looks pretty cool.
For the price I think this is a great tripod for the Flip Video-
Now It is July 2011-
This tripod has gotten a lot of use in the past several months-
I have notices that it is slightly easier to pan and move around-
But not too much-
I am still happy with my Gorilla Tripod
