I had been wanting to find some way to mount my phone in my car when I was using the GPS navigation, but I didn't like any of the solutions I had seen. Most of them held the device on the dash or the windshield, which was too far to use the touchscreen easily. I liked the upper steering wheel position well enough to hold it there myself most of the time, since that was close enough to see and use it easily while also not being distracting. If only there was some gadget to hold it there...
And there is, and it's the GoSmart clip! It's universal enough to fit pretty much every phone and car out there with one model, and it holds the phone in the best position that I can think of without getting in the way of anything. Well mostly - the only beef that I have with it is that it covers up the charging socket on my phone. Though running a cable to the phone while it was attached to the steering wheel would be kinda awkward too. This won't be a big deal anyways if your phone has it's charging socket somewhere other than the center of the bottom or the top, which a lot of the newer droid phones seem to.
Other than that minor issue, I can't think of any problems with it. It's easy to set up and as sturdy as it needs to be. It doesn't let the phone flop around when you turn the wheel all the way around. I'd say it's pretty much great. If you use your phone for navigation, give it a try.
