A cast of four men and two women share the role of Christ in this innovative interpretation of the Gospel story which is based on the King James version of the Bible published in 1611. Divided into seven short dramas, it's a modern retelling of the life of Christ adapted from the text of all four Gospels -- Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The scripts chronicle the main events in the life of Jesus from the nativity through the ministry to the passion, the resurrection and ascension. The emphasis of this production is on the narrative and the power of the language. The actors are dressed in contemporary 1990's clothes -- not in the "traditional" sandals and flowing robes. The power of the Gospel accounts speaks to the heart of every generation, and culture is vividly portrayed. 105 minutes.
