Gossamer Wings Switch Plate

I just love the way the light switch plate looks and how it adds detail to an otherwise boring little wall; however, my husband had to get longer screws to be able to hang it. The screws it came with weren't long enough to grasp the holes in the wall. I don't know if it was just something weird with our house (which is older) or if others would have a problem too. But once he got it hung it was just adorable!

This is a very cute yet subtle addition to the Gossamer Wings collection. It's a very thick plate, so you don't have to worry about breaking it by tightening the screws too much, like a lot of those thin plastic plates.

However, the thickness of the plate can't accommodate the length of the screws. No biggie, though. I managed to find longer brass screws that worked fine. Now, though, the light switch itself is a bit recessed (the base of the switch isn't flush with the plate), but again, no biggie. It's still adorable!

This switch plate really looks cute! At first I thought it wasn't worth the price, especially since we had so many other accessories in our twins' room. But it was worth it. I also agree with Rachel L from St. Louis. We also needed to get longer screws since the plate so thick the short screws don't reach and grab the switch behind it.... But not a big deal... We just did't find gold screws and have metal screws in place.

I bought all the line of Gossamer Wings for my grandaughter bedroom and everyone loves it. It looks very nice.

This is really well made. It is pretty and goes perfectly with the gossamer wings line. It also can go with any girl room with butterflies and pastel colors. I am happy with this. It is not plastic or flimsy. It has a heavy clay type feel to it.

I bought this entire room set for my new little girl and it was darling! Everything was very high quality. She still drags around the blanket that comes with the bedding set and she is 2. It is the cutest thing I found for a little girl--great value.

This looks great in my nursery with the other gossamer wings products. I highly recommend it and had no problem with screws.

I absolutely love the switch plate for the gossamer wings collection! It was very cheap, only 9.99 for a nice thick sturdy plate. You can get plastic ones for real cheap for a different collection, but then they always end up cracking when you just barely tighten the screw. With this one you don't have to worry about cracking the switch plate or scratching the paint on it at all. And when I put mine in, I had no problem with the lengths of the screws so that's definately a plus as well. This is an adorable and affordable switch plate to add color and decor to your nursery!
