I've come to love Olivier Dunrea's books as much as my 2 year old son. They are so fun to read that I don't mind reading them over and over at the request of my son.

I liked this book; I still do. But it was never a hit with my kids. You can usually tell which board books are popular by how worn they become. This one still looks like new. So either Houghton Mifflin developed some kind of breakthrough spit-resistant cardboard, or this one simply wasn't a favorite.

Perhaps the original non-board book version is longer and does a better job of involving the reader with the eponymous ducks? Because I think the emotional bond evident in something like Toot & Puddle is missing here.

Dunrea's illustrations are charming. And the book's message is worthwhile: Friends can be different and still be friends. I would not hesitate to buy this again, but this time for a friend's baby shower gift.

Very cute and simple, both in pictures and text. Charming is the best word for the series.

Dunrea has a real gift at drawing emotions on geese. Even a very little child (and these books are just the right pace for babies and toddlers) can figure out what the geese are feeling by looking at the pictures.

And they're realistic, too. I can see an actual child bossing their friend like Gossie - and having a tantrum just like her too.

What a wonderful little book. My daughter, who is soon to be 2 years old, reads this about a thousand times a day. She knows every single word by heart and she "reads" it out loud over and over. The illustrations are great, and the text is simple, and yet somehow, I never get sick of it. I am now searching to stock up on more Gossie & Gertie books.

This is a cute sturdy book that my daughter loves and enjoy, she loves when I read to her so I already got her some other 4 books from the same collection. They are very durable, also, the illustrations are very cute and the story is endearing.I will keep buying them.

This was the first book my son ever read to me. These books are great for learning and fun for those who can (and cannot) read well.

Finding books that young children will sit through is very hard and this one with the cute pictures that show so much feeling is very hard. This lovely book does the trick..bright pictures, simple sentences and good friends that is what this book provides.

I had checked this book out from the library and my 3 year old grand daughter just fell in love with the book. She would bring it to everyone to read to her. Since I had to purchase a textbook for myself (I decided to get her a copy of her very own,it is to be delivered today)because when it had to be returned to the library she started to cry,because she didn't want to see the book go.
We knew that this gem was a hit! Can't wait to see her face when she sees the book again.

After reading this book for the 5th time today, tonight my son (2 1/2 years old) was still laughing. He loves the part where Gossie is shouting, "Follow me!" As a parent, it is so joyful to see your little one enjoying his book so much. He laughs so hard, with his eyes closed, his mouth wide open, and then he falls to the floor continue to laugh. When we come to the end of the book, he would turn to the front of the book and say, "Read again mom!" And when I am not reading the book to him, I would see him sitting on the floor flipping the pages with his head moving back and forth. This is the reason I give this book a 5 star.

My son is 15 months old and loves this book! We started reading it to him when he was about 11 months old, and now it is his favorite! I highly recomend this book. It is cute, thoughtful, and colorfully illustrated, but not cluttered. The board book style holds up well to lots of chewing/slobbering!!!!!

My 3 year old son has a hard time sitting still for any books, but these seem to work! He loves the bright pictures, short sentences, and funny humor! Great for both my kids (ages 3 and 5)! Would recommend to anyone!!
