5.0 out of 5 stars Oh, please.
Everyone who says Gossip Girl is trashy and the characters are spoiled and slutty, etc, etc, is completely right.

I do not read these books to stimulate my mind. I read them because they are amusing. It's all fiction and most Gossip Girl readers are very aware of that. Just because these books contain sexual elements, drugs, whatever, does not mean all girls...

It was a good book, very intriging and eventful. I love how the characters change relationship, mind, friends, and looks. All the characters go together well, and some of them feel out of place, but that is the beauty of the book. well done.

Everyone who says Gossip Girl is trashy and the characters are spoiled and slutty, etc, etc, is completely right.

I do not read these books to stimulate my mind. I read them because they are amusing. It's all fiction and most Gossip Girl readers are very aware of that. Just because these books contain sexual elements, drugs, whatever, does not mean all girls out there will try it all! I read Gossip Girl, but there is no way I'm ever going to be doing anything Serena or Blair or Jenny are doing. Hello? Girls are not complete idiots who will try and do whatever we read about. Most of us have brains. Gossip Girl contains nothing worse than a movie an average female teenager would watch anyway. Lighten up.

All I Want Is Everything is truly a funny, light read, great if you need some cheering up. If you want something heavier, serious, and still awesome, try Megan McCafferty or Ann Brashares.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mah-velous, Darling!, April 26, 2003

Serena and Blair are friends again (so fast?) and back to their old ways of hard drinking, chain smoking, and just partying it up all the time. Ok, I'll admit it, I do miss the whole fight dynamic they had in the first two books...

Nate is just as frustrating as usual. He's suddenly having second thoughts about Jenny (finally) and beginning to think that maybe Blair wasn't so bad after all. Dan and Vanessa are together, but they just can't seem to just get down and have sex! Hmm, sound familiar, anyone? Poor Aaron, hopelessly in love with his stepsister (eww!) and rejected at every turn.

I hate to say it, but I find myself actually caring about these characters. Like, I want Blair to get into Yale, I want Serena to get with Aaron, and for God's sake, I really want Kati and Isabel to just come out of the closet and admit that they're in love with each other. But what I want most of all is to find out who Gossip Girl really is, although that would spoil everything...oh well. Can't wait for the fourth installment in the fall!

4.0 out of 5 stars Gossip Girl 3 is better than ever!, March 18, 2008
So... I got this book after reading the prequel, gossip girl, and then reading You Know You Love Me. I think the Gossip Girl series is so addicting, you can't help but fall in love. Basically, in this book.... everyone is just getting finished with their essays and SATs and exams and getting worried about college. If that isn't bad enough, Blair has a whole new "extended" family and is being wisked off to some island with them. I personally like this book because Blair and Serena are done being catty and have actually grown to love each other again! Serena met a rock-star named Flow and hung out for one night. Now she has a professional STALKER! Serena, Blair, Aaron, Tyler, Mr and Mrs. Rose, Miles, Flow and many others are going to St. Barts and we soon discover Aarons secret longing for Blair. Jenny and Nate are caught fooling around in Central Park and a video of them is posted on the internet! (Now, I wonder who we know has a video camera strapped to their hip?) Nate flys off with his parents to Maine hoping to be able to light a few joints and get away from stalker Jenny ( who i have now grown to hate for being such a nate-obsessed, annoying.. JERK!) who is stuck at home and being watched closely by Rufus and Dan. This book altogether is starting to form bonds between characters you NEVER expected to be bonded and altogher it has been one of my favorites. I mainly just gave it four stars because of some minor typos and how much Jenny has grown to annoy me. =] Im not always this compulsive... dont worry! ;) I would recomend this book to anyone and this is a lot more appropriate for people under 15 than the last books have been! I hope you enjoyed my review! Go ahead and read it! The worst that will happen is that you wont like the book and will put it down early... right?

Hope I didn't give TOO much away,
<3 tAyLoR =]

4.0 out of 5 stars Review of All I Want Is Everything, March 14, 2006
A Kid's Review
My review over this story is that Blair tries to act like it doesn't bother her that Nate dumped her for Jenny. In fact it really does bother her.Blair tries to do things to get him off her mind but all she does is involve other people. She makes this one guy Miles think that she likes him when really she just used him to get over Nate and tries to make him jealous.Nate realizes that Jenny isn't made for him and wants to get back with Blair. Then Blair ends up turning him down and moves on doing her own thing. The setting of this book takes place in New York City's Upper East Side were they live in penthouses and townhouses. They attend the most elite schools and enjoy what New York City has to offer.

4.0 out of 5 stars All I Want Is Everything, May 8, 2003
Though Gossip Girl's identity may be a tightly held secret, that is the only secret you will find within the pages of ALL I WANT IS EVERYTHING. Gossip Girl has all the inside scoops on a group of rich kids in New York City that only know how to live life to its fullest.

After making up, Blair Waldorf and Serena von der Woodsen get up to their usual antics. Attending parties, going for limo rides with a famous pop star and even jetting off to the island of St. Barts are merely every day occurrences. More pressing are mid-term exams and the dreaded college essays. Blair struggles to enjoy her fun in the sun knowing she cannot put off her essay much longer.

I honestly don't want to give away a lot of the gossip found within, so I am not talking about the plot any further. All of the characters from the previous two books (GOSSIP GIRL and YOU KNOW YOU LOVE ME) are found within these pages. Plenty of secrets are revealed and even more questions lurk in your mind - most importantly just who is Gossip Girl?

I admit if a series like this had been around when I was a teen, I would have snatched them up. Cecily von Ziegesar tells her stories with wit and cattiness. Women can be catty in the best of times, and to step back from real life and soak up an exorbitant amount of this behavior had me laughing. Though a few aspects of the story struck me as unreal, and maybe I'm wrong maybe bars in New York don't card everyone like they do here, I still found the book to be a delight.

4.0 out of 5 stars Holiday Drama at Its Finest, May 8, 2003
By
S. L. Leuchs "stacemay1" (Glendale, AZ United States) - See all my reviews
Blair and Serena are best friends again - and that's a good thing for when she's with her mother and Cyrus in St. Bart's for Chistmas. Who would help her get through all the new family drama going on in her life that used to be perfect?
Dan and Vanessa are in love but go through several hurdles to overcome differences. Jenny and Nate are happy - at least they seem to be until he goes to Maine. Serena is serenaded by Flow and a strange Bird. Miles makes the moves on Blair much to the chagrin of Aaron. And what about a baby?
This third book in the Gossip Girl series is the best so far. Of course, it leaves the reader hanging on for the next book, but isn't that what good series books do - even if they are for teens? These books are wonderful because you can have all the drama you want without it screwing up your own life!

3.0 out of 5 stars Gossip Girl's omniscient voice is boring rather than snarky., July 26, 2004
By
It's Christmastime in New York, but the gossip is hotter than ever. Who's getting what for Christmas? Who's going to what exclusive tropical island to get a fabulous tan? 'Tis the season to make up and break up. As always, the girl in the spotlight is the beautiful, blonde and sophisticated Serena van der Woodsen. She's caught Flow's eye. Yes that Flow, the sexy lead singer of the band Komunik8. He sends her presents, sings to her, and causes everyone at the exclusive all-girls Constance Billard School to have some severe jealousy.

Blair, Serena's best friend, hasn't the time to worry about Serena and Flow. She's destined to go to Yale. The only problem is that she made a complete fool of herself in the first round of interviews, and her essay as it stands isn't exactly stellar. To complicate matters, her mother is pregnant at 47, her ex-boyfriend is dating a girl with really big breasts, and her stepbrother's friend Miles is interested in her when she so doesn't have time for a boyfriend...or does she? And don't forget about Dan, the poet, or his filmmaker girlfriend Vanessa, or his sister Jenny, who is dating Blair's ex-boyfriend Nate. It promises to be a wild Christmas for everyone.

The third Gossip Girl book lacks the sparkle of its predecessors as characterizations fall flat, the writing feels rushed, and many consistency errors appear. Gossip Girl's omniscient voice is boring rather than snarky. Name-dropping of brands becomes more important than the story, as though this were a Neiman Marcus catalog rather than a novel. Who is Gossip Girl? Who cares? All I want is some plot development.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gossip Girl All I Want is Everthing, February 27, 2004
By A Customer
How would you feel if your best friend moved to boarding school and you never got a call or a letter from her? Then all of a sudden you find out she's back in town and expecting your friendship to be the same. This is a problem Blair had when Serena went to boarding school.
They both live in Upper East Side New York in some of the most exquisite Penthouses, if you think that sounds nice there's more. They also have full time maids and cooks just in case they get hungry or if there rooms get messy. "Eventually they both decided to kiss and make up". It was about time, how long can you be mad at someone you've sent more than ten years of your life being friends with.
What makes this book hard to put down is it's so detailed you feel like it's a movie playing in your head. The book is told in the view point of two people, Serena and Blair. What's so great about this is you really find out what Serena and Blair are thinking because they both give you their perspective of what's going on.
If you enjoyed the Alice Series, this book is perfect for you. Not only will you not put it down, but also you won't stop talking about it with your friends and peers.

5.0 out of 5 stars gossip girl!, April 26, 2003
this book is great, blair is my favorite. i love her obsession with audrey hepburn and how she always plays hard to get. the characters personalities havent changed AT ALL (except for i think blair's gotten more funny to read about, and of course she still has that eating disorder) but nate gets on my nerves as well as the plot with vanessa and dan. i just couldn't put this book down!! if you havent read it yet, you should!!
