How does this work?
Clicking the “Test drive now” button launches a copy of this app on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), a web service that provides on-demand compute capacity in the cloud for developers. When you interact with the simulated phone using your mouse and keyboard, we send those inputs over the Internet to the app running on Amazon EC2 — just like your mobile device would send a finger tap to the app. Our servers then send the video and audio output from the app back to your computer. All this happens in real time, allowing you to explore the features of the app as if it were running on your mobile device.

Product Description
iRewardChart
Reward accomplishments with a single tap
iRewardChart
Use rewards from database or customize your own

The reward system has always been an effective parenting technique, and now the iRewardChart can go everywhere you and your child go. The iRewardChart makes it easy to teach your child how to understand consequences, incentives, patience, and the value of setting goals and working to achieve them.

How iRewardChart Works

The iRewardChart app makes it easy to reward your children for good behavior and keep them motivated. Simply type their name, select a few tasks from the list of suggestions, and reward their accomplishments with a single tap in the weekly chart.

The app also allows you to set up abstract goals like "Patience" and "Sharing with Others" in order to reinforce the values you want your child to learn. When stars have been earned, your child can pick from the default list of suggested rewards, or you can customize the rewards (e.g., "$2 Pocket Money" or "One Hour of TV").

iRewardChart Recognition

While the iReward App has been busy implementing an effective reward system, it's gotten quite a bit of recognitions itself!

This app needs much more developement...

1. First off the interface is more difficult than it should be:

The menu key doesn't do much. In the menu that pops up there should be a Home, Settings, Edit, etc.
You have to keep pressing the upper left button just to return to the main screen.

2. Should have a password or Pin:

The kids can change anything they want when using your phone or tablet.

3. Should have a log-in system:

This would allow the parents to change settings.
The kids could check their progress and request a reward.

4. Cross-platform needed, plus syncing:

There needs to be a desktop version. This would allow the kids to use the home computer to check progress and interact with the software.
This would also allow Android and Iphones to share information between parents and kids.

The above will get this app started on being something useful.

Bottom line, Start by completely reworking the interface and make use of the menu key on the phone/tablet. Needs a lot of work!

Obvious iPhone port May 11, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase
This is an iPhone port. The app does not take advantage of any of the Android OS abilities, and operates exactly as it would on an iOS device. This means it's confusing and doesn't act as you would expect it to. Menu button? Nothing. Long Press? Nothing. Very frustrating. Its hard to believe the developer will keep up with this app when they put little to no effort to localize the app to the different OS.

This app is neat. It's a great way to keep track of when your kids are doing their chores and acting appropriately as an alternative to a manual chore chart.

The only feature I need that's not included is a way to sync this app between multiple devices like I can with the various grocery apps. That way I can easily use this on my tablet when I'm at home so the kids can see it and use it along with me, but then I could also add things from my phone when we're out and about running errands and things.

Actually one other feature would be to require a PIN in order to modify things. That way the kids could look at it and see how they're doing, but wouldn't be able to go in and screw with the data unless they entered the proper PIN/password. Developers, if you read this, please add those to your to do list.

ALSO, even if you don't have kids, check out this review on Youtube for a guy who set it up to use it like his own ToDo list to reward himself for when he works out during the day or when he accomplishes things at work. Neat idea.

I guess I can't post a link to Youtube so just go there and search for 3JUMIwPMhBA

Rendered itself unusable
attempted to edit the tasks and it force closed, now it will not allow editing at all and closes itself. Seemed like it would be a good program for my kid.
