James doesnt get the attention he deserves which can be said for a lot of blues artists. I've had the chance to see him live and he's awesome.

What an incredible voice. James his new cd is recorded in the old fashioned way without to much effects etc. Only good musicians, a solid beat and the simple but full of emotion guitarplay of james. The title song 'got it going on'', starts of great and promises and delivers througout the whole CD. great Swing work in Mr. B's and Beat up my Love. Delicious besides the guitar are the organ and piano work.... one point of friendly advice for James, please use some brass/horns next time too.

Last but not least, one of my personnal favs, JAMES ARMSTRONG
GOT IT GOIN' ON Hightone. Last years DARK NIGHT, to me, was a
classic. You could look right down in James soul bubba. PENNIES &
PICKS is life on the road, no money, just pennies & picks to send home.
ANOTHER DREAM sweet pickin & singin' from Mr. Jim on this one. LOVE
WILL MAKE YOU DO WRONG song, hit the nail here Mr. Jimmy. SHUT
MY EYES is a man dealin' with his demons, great lyrics. LUCKY GUY great
lady but man does her wrong. What's with that James ? James just keeps
on keepin' on folks. Say HI to Little James for me Jimmy

I bought his first two CDs just because of his name, which is the same as mine. I will buy again as he is an excellent performer!
