They say don't judge a book by its cover. Often it's good advice, but I have to say that the slightly diffused and very suggestive cover of Alison Tyler's latest collection "Got a Minute" certainly goes a long way in defining what can be found within. Like a Whitman Sampler, there are assorted treats inside. Woof them down in a single sitting with a glass of wine, or do like I did and savor them slowly a piece here and there over time, but the effect will be the same.

This is a very sexy collection of short erotica by some excellent authors and assembled by a seasoned and skilled editor (and a fine writer in her own right.)

I highly recommend "Got a Minute."

This is a wonderful book. I have read two stories and they are like having a meal, where you eat for five minutes andf the nutrition keeps you going for hours and hours. Same here. You do not want to sit down and read cover to cover. That's not the intent. Read a story and then let it circle in your mind for an hor or for a day. It makes wonderful reading. If a story is not addressing your ideas just substitute when you replay it in your mind later on.

I'm finding that you can't go wrong with an Alison Tyler book. Loved it! Loved it!! Loved it!!! The (short) stories in here were extremely sexual, hot, and just the right length (hush). I usually list the ones I like but then I would probably just be listing the entire table of contents. So what I'll do is just give you my top 5. Again, this book is hot, hot, freaking HOT!!

**5 minutes later**... OK, screw that idea. There really are too many good ones in here to pick my top 5. That's like asking me to pick my favorite lady out of Toni Braxton, Zoe Saldana, Angelina Jolie, Gabrielle Union, Rosario Dawson, and that Kardashian chick. Why pick, just enjoy right? So I followed my own advice. Enjoy this book y'all. I did!

Out of the many stories included in this book, I can honestly say I enjoyed very few. I guess I'm one of those people who need a little more story to get all hot and bothered and these are (as advertised) shorts. While steamy in places, I found a lot of the stories to actually be a bit boring with little substance. Some of them were too "artistic" to be sexy to me. This is the first book of erotica that I had for several months before I actually finished. On the bright side, it was quick to get a little boost, but more often than not I had to read several stories before finding one that would do it for me.

This is a collection you'll want to read and re-read. Slowly. The stories themselves range from the literary to the romantic in style and tone, but one and all the sex is hot. The shorter stories tend to be the best; my personal favorites were "The Other Side of Sleep" and "The Covers of Books". Pure genius there! Overall, this anthology is one you'll want to savor. It's well worth the time.

This is how I like my erotica--short and to the point, loaded with sexual tension and spice. And this is what I got with Sixy Second Erotica. It was filled with all sorts of goodies and was a real pleasure to read. I would love to read more like this and will be on the outlook for more like this, that's for sure.

I was looking forward to this book because of reviews on this website, but was severely disappointed. The stories in this book spend a lot of time focusing on what happened before and after the sex and very little time on the sex itself.

I was also extremely disappointed by the lack of detail. Considering the number of different authors, the stories are mostly very bland. There is little detail, for instance some stories simply say "they had sex". How is that supposed to be a turn on? There needs to be more detail and excitement. I definitely recommend skipping this book unless you have nothing better to read. in which case, use your imagination, I'm sure you're more creative than these authors.
