5.0 out of 5 stars The best single off "Now or never", October 20, 2003
This review is from: I Got You / Is It Saturday Yet / Rockstar Baby [CD-SINGLE] [IMPORT] (Audio CD)
This song is nothing less than breathtaking. Nick's vocals are hypnotic and mature, the music is perfect and the lyrics show him on his brightest side: caring, sweet, strong but unafraid to show his vulnerability. To me, it's even better than any mid-tempo song or ballad Nick's ever done with the Backstreet Boys. Gorgeous song from a gorgeous (and talented) artist.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nick's SOOO Under-Appreciated, March 21, 2003
This review is from: I Got You / Is It Saturday Yet / Rockstar Baby [CD-SINGLE] [IMPORT] (Audio CD)
Nick Carter's solo album has been ignored ever sice it;s relese, which is truly a shame due to the wonderful work on this the album. If you like Nick Carter, you MUST add this CD to your collection. "Rockstar Baby" is perhaps one of Nick's best songs, and it's too bad it did not make the final cut for his album. It's a really sexy song and his voice has a very seductive tone to it. The lyrics are outstanding, but the beats are sexy, it just makes you wanna get up and do a really hot dance. Of course the song is good, Nick wrote it! "I Got You" is one of the best songs off his album, so its nice to have the single of it, and of course, the music video. As always, Nick is total eye candy for all of his viewers. So, quit reading this review, and go add the CD to your shopping cart!

5.0 out of 5 stars MY SECOND FAVORITE SONG FROM THE CD, October 2, 2003
This review is from: I Got You / Is It Saturday Yet / Rockstar Baby [CD-SINGLE] [IMPORT] (Audio CD)

This song, like "Do I Have To Cry For You", "Who Needs The World" and "Heart Without A Home" demonstrates Carter's maturing abilities as laying down a ballad as well as a song of deeper qualities opposed to his party anthems either here or with BSB.

So what makes this one of my favorites from Nick's solo effort? Simply put; it's hypnotic melodies and the beat which is dancy but not your typical club beat which is evident in so many dance songs. Of course the lyrics are catchy, great to sing along to and go perfectly well with the music. Nick's solo effort could have benifited more with songs like this as well as "Help Me" which comes off almost as a Christian (or spiritual)song without sounding "preachy" and having a rock/pop feel.

Now as for my favorite song from this album, will it is titled: "Blow Your Mind" which is the ultimate ride of your life on this cd. I will review it when/if it comes out as a single.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Song Is Awesome, March 3, 2003

It's really a shame Nick Carter's solo release was largely ignored by the music buying public. This song is a pop gem. Vocally, I've never really cared for Nick but this song is an exception. He sounds great on it and musically, the song is incredible. A beautiful pop midtempo/ballad if ever I heard one. The backround singers are excellent too. Radio really should pick up on it. This song is just what it needs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great single for the best song off 'Now Or Never', February 8, 2003
This review is from: I Got You / Is It Saturday Yet / Rockstar Baby [CD-SINGLE] [IMPORT] (Audio CD)
"I Got You" is indeed, the best song off of the 'Now Or Never' album by Nick Carter. Unfortunately, this song is only being released as an international single...the Americans won't get to hear this beautiful song unless the own the album or downloaded it from the internet. "I Got You" is a ballad, with an 80's rock/pop feel to it. Nick's gorgeous, raspy voice fits perfectly with the song, and the lyrics are just beautiful. Another Max Martin masterpiece. Here are the track listings:

1. "I Got You" [album version] ~ what more can I say that hasn't already been said about this truly amazing song?! 5/5 stars

2. "Is It Saturday Yet?" [from 'Now Or Never'] ~ another great 'NoN' track with a rockin' beat and fun lyrics. Nick's vocals are awesome. 4/5 stars

3. "Rockstar Baby" [non-album cut] ~ fun song! I liked it a lot. 5/5 stars

4. "I Got You" [enhanced video] ~ the amazing music video can be played when you put this CD into your computer CD-ROM drive. The music video takes place out on the ocean--Nick is sailing alone with a pretty girl, and they sail over to a beach. 5/5 stars

I think Nick Carter is truly one of the most underrated artists out there right now. He is incredibly talented and a very wonderful person. Unlike Justin Timberlake, Nick actually deserves fame and success. So what if he isn't dating Britney Spears? Does he need to be dating Brit in order to get a little exposer? This CD single is amazing.

I highly recommend the "I Got You" CD single.

100/100

5.0 out of 5 stars talent, June 1, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: I Got You / Is It Saturday Yet / Rockstar Baby [CD-SINGLE] [IMPORT] (Audio CD)
nick realli does have talent. when i first heard he was gonna put out a solo album, i didn't think he could do it and come out sounding decent, but he did it and it turned out great. nick really doesn't get enough credit for his solo material. if ppl were not so quick to categorize him, i know he would be a hit. because in all reality, his material is better than most ppl out rite now.
