Syncopated Sweetness from St. Louis,

This trio, crowned "Best Rock Band" of 2004 by the Riverfront Times, happened to open for The Life And Times out here in Colorado, and for that I'm very grateful! Part math, part punk, a little prog, they excel at their faster-paced songs which snap, crackle and pop with fresh contagious energy. Unfortunately, their slower songs (tracks 5 and 10) aren't nearly as musically-interesting as their faster work - but if you can overlook that one shortcoming of this CD, you'll be very happy you picked this one up!

ROS rocks. This they proved twice on the initial BURN e.p. and on the stellar full length PYTHON. GOT THIS FEELIN' is a great record. The energy of this band is unmatched as they barrel through 10 solid, hard rocking tracks. The production on this disc is nothing short of magnificent, with a thick heavy sound and a clairity of instrumentation that allows you to groove to all three musicians at once. This is a must have item if you love great ass-kicking alternative rock with great hooks and complicated arrangements but rocks with a simplicity that is totally user friendly. GOT THIS FEELIN' is good stuff.

This record is filled with some of the most memorable and hard rocking hooks you've heard in a while. The vocal lines in Baby Bird stick like glue to me every time I hear the song. Our Guitars Are Haunted, Deeper Still, and This is a House of Lies all contain some truly great writing- melodies that catch quickly, rhythms that are different & engaging, and guitar riffs for OUTTA SPACE, MANG. Think the energy of Foo Fighters, the goofiness/sarcasm of QOTSA, and the rhythm section inventiveness of The Police mixed with equal heapings of originality, indie rock sensibility, and arena RAWK guts. Check the band's site (their name dot org) or their myspace page for more info/clips. One of my favorite releases this year.
