Good companion to "Goth Oddity", November 10, 2000
This review is from: Goth Oddity 2000: Tribute to David Bowie (Audio CD)
This new David Bowie covers compilation is very similar to the first "Goth Oddity" compilation. It has some good songs like "The Man Who Sold the World" and some of the same songs as the original, like "Cat People (Putting Out Fire)". If you're a die hard Bowie or Goth fan, you should pick this up. Otherwise, you might find it lacking. I personally think that a goth version of "She Shook Me Cold" or "Space Oddity" would be amazing, but those songs weren't included on either compilation. Perhaps Cleopatra should make certain that the best goth-sounding originals get covered on their compilations rather than whatever the band wants to cover.
