What a great collection! I was unsure whether to purchase this CD as I typically find that I only like a few songs on CD collections. This one is really different. There are songs that everyone will know, as well as songs you may have heard a couple of times in clubs, but didn't really know who they were by. The recording quality is also very good. This collection would be a pleasure to listen to for anyone really, but old goths will really be transported to an earlier time and place. Ahh! The memories! How things have changed. All in all, I have to say a highly recommended purchase, besides you get two CDs for the price. What a deal!

To anyone who is just getting into the scene consider this required material.This is what the gothic sound is all about,this is gothic music to it's fullest.The only reason why i don't give it five stars is because of disc two...WHY THE HELL PEOPLE KEEP THINKING THAT BANDS LIKE TYPE-O AND MOONSPELL ARE GOTHIC ARE BEYOND ME.To all the newbies or anyone else looking at this....Type-o is not gothic.

Although there will always be one or two people nitpicking about the selection of songs, debating what is really "goth", etc.... this is a surprisingly good collection of tunes, and nicely mastered. Maybe the "Club Classics" was a bad idea for a title, since it seems most people were expecting more EBM synth tracks.... but truth be told, I have heard more than a few of these while out at the local NYC goth clubs.

A few songs that we've seen on other comps, a few obscure gems, and at least one drop-dead miss (Type-O Negative? The Brooklyn hardcore band?).... but a fun comp, great for someone you want to introduce to the scene and throw away their My Chemical Romance CDs!

Having left my Gothic Club mix CD at home, I decided to buy this one. What hooked me first was the live recording of "Bela Lugosi's Dead" by Bauhaus, which is classic Goth music. Some of the bands I liked, some I didn't, but all in all this is a great CD. My favorite is "Sheryl" on the second CD. This is a great CD for chilling, dancing, or showing the uneducated masses what Goth music really is.

Well, this is a pretty good cd set. But, I am from southern california, and honestly, I have heard maybe one or two songs at the clubs. Now, I understand this is a global community and maybe these are club themes in other countries or regions in the US. Good CDs, but bad title if you live in So Cal.

the music can be explained and defined pretty much as the title itself just think of "classic". I assumed the music was going to be very club material that has a history of songs being played after the years by clubs.. a large portion of the cd i cannot see it as a gothic "club" material esspecially throwing in some type-o.. i been through alot of clubs and i cannot find a way to hit that song in the dance floor.. if not i guess i have been in the wrong places.. it looks to me they ran out of ideas and threw in some mainstream that everyone listens to so they would i was very dissapointed in the whole cd. listened to a few songs here and there, if you are into the old stuff then this is the stuff for you.. i really dont recomend this cd to any collection besides you want to be blasted in the past..

Eh claro que tem varios classicos do gotico como Blessing In Disguise entre outros.. mas este cd eh bom pra quem quer ouvir este tipo de som..
