Format: Audio CD
Usually when the labels release a "Best of..." album, they include bands only from their catalog, but in this case Eagle Rock - Spitfire Records did a good job puting together great groups from different companies: Peaceville (My Dying Bride), Metal Blade (Moonspell, Candlemass), Nuclear Blast (Theatre of Tragedy), Century Media (Tiamat), Earache Records (Cathedral), etc. If you are a gothic-doom metal fan, what are you waiting for? Order it now, just check it out:

1. "Pitiless" (Anathema)

2. "Romeo's Distress" (Christian Death)

3. "Vampire Sun" (Cathedral)

4. "The Forever People" (My Dying Bride)

5. "Whatever that Hurts" (Tiamat)

6. "Colossal Rains" (Paradise Lost)

7. "Ruin and Misery" (Moonspell)

8. "Beyond the Veil" (Tristania)

9. "A Crimson Cosmos" (Lake of Tears)

10."Perpetual Desolation" (Sins of thy Beloved)

11."Closer to the Pain (Cemetary)

12."Machine" (Theatre of Tragedy)

13. "Bewitched - Live" (Candlemass)

Okay. if you are one of those people that have a problem with "nu-metal" and if you are a "goth", then pick this one up at your local music store and you will not be dissapointed. i dont have a problem with "nu-metal" and i dont consider myself as a "goth" but this cd is great.

it's a mixed Cd. My Dying Bride, Moonspell, and Christian Death all contribute some good doomy gothic metal tracks. Nothing amazing but it is a good intro to people discovering doom metal.

Cemetary, Christian Death, Cathedral. Plenty of good stuff on this comp for the doom metal crowd. This is a great one to drop on a music player and shuffle.

if you can get it cheap, there are a couple of notable tracks. see if you like it before u get it, otherwise you will be dissapointed. it was not what i expected, but after i came back to it, i found it makes good background music if you are working.
