Awesome music!, September 28, 2009

This band is Pagan Folk Metal. It's entirely in German, and most if not all of the lyrics seem to be about the Norse Heathen holy books such as the Eddas and the Havamal.They go from soft and mystical to headbanging and fierce,- but still beautiful- within the same song. There are 2 guitarists, several male singers, one female singer, a cellist, a violinist, a bass, drums, and one guy also plays the flute. This is music like no other, it feels ancient and modern at the same time. The lady in the band has a sugar sweet voice and -along with the violin and flute-adds a nice feminine touch to an otherwise testosterone laden band. If amazon won't let you sample it try [...] there are plenty of songs by them there. Also this band is much better in the studio than live so don't be too quick to judge them by their cell-phone-recorded live clip on youtube.
