About the Author
Deborah Anderson is a native of Miami, Florida and began her avid interest in food from her multi-cultural expose to regional and ethnic cuisines. From her college days in Tallahassee, to her stays in New York City and Atlanta and through her extensive European travels, she has developed a philosophy of using fresh, high quality and powerfully-flavored ingredients that compliment one another. After attending cooking schools in Atlanta and LeCordon Bleu in Paris, France, she began writing a cookbook and contributed recipes to Gourmet magazine.
Deborah now lives in Floridas panhandle with her husband, Don, and in 1991 their world changed with the birth of their daughter, Taylor. As a wife and a mother, she found herself with a very busy lifestyle and much less time for the lengthy processes of gourmet cooking. Not willing to give up the pleasures and rewards of gourmet cooking, she quickly recognized the need for simplicity and convenience and developed elegant, flavorful recipes with surprisingly few ingredients.
