5.0 out of 5 stars A Tea Drinkers MUST H AVE !
I absolutely LOVE this teamaker. I purchased one for myself a few months ago and just received my second one today which I am going to give to my parents as a gift. The tea samplers are so great because it gives you the opportunity to try all different kinds of tea samples w/out having to purchase 2ozs.at a time ( the mininum order) if you don't like a certain tea. I have...

1.0 out of 5 stars Teapot is defective and Adagioteas won't cover it
Bought the ingenueTEA sixteen ounce teapot back on August 15th as a present for my wife, along with a bunch of tea. Tea's good but ingenueTEA pot has been used ten to fifteen times and is already defective. The filter always falls off the post and floats to the top of the pot each time hot water is poured into the pot, thus mixing tea leaves throughout the pot. So when...

I have just purchased another 16ozs of tea that I fell in love with in the sample tins that came with my first tea maker. The Citron Green Tea is my all time favorite. Its light and very refreshing. I love it hot first thing in the morning and I also love it on ice any time of the day. I Highly recommend this teamaker. Its so super easy to use and once you start drinking FRESH TEA you will feel the difference right away . I just can't go back to those old tea bags on the grocery store shelves. Plus I have to admit, I do feel alot more energetic and my skin looks so much better now. I used to have alot of gastro problems and I have to tell you all that ever since I cut out the coffee and started drinking tea I feel so much better. This also makes a fantastic Holiday gift. I plan on sending the teamaker and sampler to most of my friends for Christmas. Enjoy your tea everyone ! And better health as well ...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, Great Price, Nice tins, November 7, 2005
This review is from: Gourmet Green Tea Set - Teapot and Four Samples (Misc.)
The Gourmet Green Tea Set is a bargain. The tea is fresh and flavorful! The teapot is nice, even if it is plastic. Tea prep is a snap. You fill the pot with water, nuke it in the microwave, put your green tea leaves directly in the water. Wait 3 minutes. Put the pot on the top our your cup and it drains perfectly in your cup! Enjoy.

I bought the Green Tea Set with the ingenuiTEA teapot as a present for myself. I love tea but hadn't tried making tea with loose leaves before. The teapot works great, very convenient for making tea at my desk at work. I want to order other loose teas to try them out.

4.0 out of 5 stars Delicious green tea!, February 6, 2007
This review is from: Gourmet Green Tea Set - Teapot and Four Samples (Misc.)
First, I just have to say how incredibly convenient the IngenuiTea tea maker is. It's so easy to use, and dishwasher safe, a great convenience.

The teas are very good. The flavor is subtle, and may seem weak if you are used to very strong tea, but I prefer the milder flavors. Two of them particularly stand out. The citron green is mildly sweet, with a fruity note, that actually reminds me of Froot Loops cereal, in a very good way. :) The hojicha is a traditional Japanese style green that you may have tried at sushi restaurants. It's a little woody with a smoky undertone. I think I'll shortly be ordering full sized packages of those.

If you're a fan of subtle, exotic green teas, you will really enjoy this assortment.

I got a few of these for Christmas gifts. I've fallen in love with this teapot. When I re-ordered I bought a 32oz teapot, so my wife and I wouldn't have to wait for a second pot to brew, and I could bring the other pot it work.

These tea's are great Iced. At Agagio.com you can customize your own samples and order up to 16oz of tea.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 months of heavy use and very satisfied, March 3, 2010
By
This review is from: Gourmet Green Tea Set - Teapot and Four Samples (Misc.)
I received this teapot along with some samples of decaffeinated and herbal teas as a gift five months ago. I have used it many (easily 100+) times and I am very pleased with both the pot and the tea. Some days it is pretty much in constant use throughout my workday. It has become slightly tea-stained with use, but that doesn't bother me. It washes up in the top rack of the dishwasher when I feel it needs a thorough cleaning, and otherwise it just gets rinsed thoroughly at the end of the brewing day. I was so pleased with it that I have given the same type of teapot as a gift twice since receiving mine (and one co-worker purchased one after seeing mine at work). One recipient has told me "You have ruined me for teabags forever."
I like good quality tea, but I am very sensitive to caffeine. Decaf loose tea is fairly hard to come by. I am quite happy with the variety and quality of the decaf loose teas that I have tried from Adagio.
An added bonus of this teapot is being able to witness the pleasant sight of the leaves unfurling in the hot water, and the color changing as it steeps.
I am sorry to see that one customer had a faulty pot and had trouble trying to get satisfaction from the company four months after purchasing it, but I feel no hesitation, based on my own experience and that of my friends, recommending this product as one well worth the money. In my little circle, everyone seems quite satisfied with their purchases from Adagio.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally a good cup of tea everyday, February 19, 2010

I have only had a couple of really good cups of green tea in my life, and that was at my favorite Thai restaurant in LA. I have tried to make it at home with ho-hum success. But this Adagio Ingenutia Teapot is so easy and Adagio's green teas are such top quality that now I can finally have a good cup every day of my life. Now if you have your favorite tea brand just buy the teapot. But if you don't, get the combo of the teapot with 4 tins of your favorite variety and you won't be disappointed.
I've got 4 birthdays coming up for family members that really don't need anything but I'm sure I'll be a big hit with a gift of an Adagio teapot & tea.

4.0 out of 5 stars Handy little tea maker, even if a little cheap feeling, April 5, 2008

Bought this directly from Adagio along with their 'clarity mug'. The mug is a bit fragile, if pretty, but the IngenuiTEA works quite well. Just make sure the filter is pressed all the way down. I've used it in the microwave as well as adding boiling water from another container. I prefer that since the leaves don't float on top as they do if you add them into the hot water. I guess they could be stirred around, but I've read that the hot water hitting the leaves releases the flavors better. I use it at work all the time, after considering more complicated and expensive gadgets. I'm new to teas and am very impressed with this little gadget.

1.0 out of 5 stars Teapot is defective and Adagioteas won't cover it, December 18, 2006

So when it's time to let the tea fall into the teacup, it's contaminated with tea leaves.

Tried to call Adagioteas but they have a policy of not providing a customer service phone number. Went to the chat line and spoke with Adagio's chief technology employee, Ilya Kreymerman.

Conversation was pathetic and took way too long. Ms. Kreymerman said that the product would have had to have been returned within thirty days to be covered. Then she said they would have covered it if I'd complained within ninety days, and sadly I was a 120 days. Then she said that it was unreasonable for anyone to expect them to cover a $19 product after ninety days--what other company would do so? She asked me to look at the recommendations on their web page for this product and I pointed out that the final recommendation actually was a complaint about this same defect. She didn't acknowledge this complaint. Then I pointed out to her that there is page here in this "Feedback" forum on this same defect. Again, she was unresponsive to my complaint and only offered to send me a new filter (which she admits is the problem) if I spend more money with them and place a new order.

I responded that despite everything she had written to me, I had purchased a product from her that has a known defect that others are complaining about, and that she should send me another filter without asking for money from me. Fair is fair, I said.

She refused, saying if I'd asked within ninety days she would have agreed. But 120 days is too long.

I told her we've only used the product between ten and fifteen times.

She talked on and I decided discussing matters with her was taking too much of my time. So I reponded saying I'd take my complaint to the internet and wishing her a merry Christmas.

The morale of the story is two-fold: first, don't buy an ingenueTEA pot because they're defective; and second, don't expect Adagioteas to stand behind their products, even if it's a $3 filter and a dollar in postage that's at stake.
