My mother bought one of these for me years ago and I've used it and used it. It makes mouth watering potatoes in 8 minutes by using quartered Yukon Gold potatoes with a little butter and garlic salt--NO WATER. The potatoes literally melt in your mouth. You have to use common sense when it comes to portions, i.e. it's not meant for large amounts. I've just ordered three more, one for our motorhome and two for friends.

I ordered this for one - person meals and it is OK for that. One thing you have to be sure of is that the liquid is absorbed. Depending on the Microwave, (Mine is 26 years old), is that you have all the liquid absorbed, or it will be soupy. It will not hurt after the time has passed to put it in for additional time, ususally less than 5 minutes.. I also spray PAM@ before starting, as it makes it easier to clean in the dishwasher as well as Dawn Power spray@. It will do a good job of cassaroles, rice, noodle and other pasta dishes, but leaves a little to be desired on true pressure cooking menus. Ok value for the price. I would buy it again.
