I've had this flatware for several years now. The quality is lovely. Heavy weight pieces yet comfortable to use. I love the pattern; it is unique and works well casually or formally. After years of running through the dishwasher it still looks great.

I saw similar flatware in Italy, and when I returned home I just had to find this beautiful pattern! I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable it is. It has held up well to daily use and the dishwasher for over a year now. The weight is substantial (can't stand lightweight eating utensils!), and I always get compliments on it. Truly unique!

Recently I picked up the serving set, and don't miss the cocktail forks, spreader knives, and tiny spoons (all which I use for serving) - they are a real bargain here at Amazon.

This product is a handsome addition to any table setting. The cutlery has a substantial feel in the hand. I am quite glad I purchased the product.

My husband and I registered for the Pottery Barn Fiddlehead flatware when we got married 10 years ago. To my horror, a spoon got thrown away at Thanksgiving a few years ago. Pottery Barn stopped making these and they have no way to get replacements, so I assumed I'd never replace the spoon. When I saw these, I figured they were worth a shot, especially at 1/3 of the Pottery Barn price. I am thrilled to report that the two sets of flatware look identical.

These are oversized, as one reviewer noted, which might be a downfall, unless you're trying to match a Pottery Barn set, in which case they are the perfect size. As a bonus, this line also makes a variety of serving pieces (Pottery Barn only had a 2-piece serving set), as well as a line of mini forks, spoons and knives which I bought for appetizers and condiments.

I am completely pleased with this set. It looks much more expensive than it really is, and it matches my current set perfectly. I love the look of these pieces, and I am very glad that I gave them a try.

I fell in love with this set when I saw some of the pieces in a local restaurant. Reasonably affordable, considering what you're getting --- a truly unique collection of flatware. It's a rare visitor who doesn't marvel at its sleek design and whimsical touch. Just one word of warning: if you don't have a dishwasher, and you are an "air dryer" like I am, be sure to dry the pieces with the stems in the air. Otherwise, they will start to develop slight rust because water gets trapped in the swirly part (which has a matte, NOT STAINLESS finish!). This is not a complaint, but rather a warning, as the problem is easily avoided by keeping the stem out of standing water.

I have been using this set for about a month and am very pleased. I bought this as well as the spreaders, mini-spoons and cocktail forks. I admit that I would have preferred that the black finish be just a bit shinier and polished looking but I was prepared from another reviewer's comments for the matte finish.

The set is very strong - as one person noted you can indeed scoop ice cream with the soup & teaspoons. Since I also knew that the pieces are large I decided to skip the serving pieces for now. The soup spoons and dinner forks are large enough to fit in for serving. I find we use the salad forks and teaspoons more regularly. I am waiting for a good sale on the serving items before I purchase those.

The knives are great - wide and wonderful for both cutting and spreading. We love them for spreading peanut butter - yes we actually get pleasure from making a PB and J sandwich now. The little spreaders, spoons and cocktail forks are nice for putting with a breakfast. I love using the little spoons for coffee stirrers and even eating ice cream.

I have always wanted a set like this and these will go perfectly with a rustic set of dishes I am hoping to purchase. Because of their weight I do not think they will do well with more delicate dishware and could imagine a dropped item would chip a fragile plate so be aware of that when you purchase.

I was given similar flatware as a wedding gift but pieces would mysteriously disappear all the time (I think my husband may have been throwing them out accidentally....) Anyway, as we ran lower and lower on pieces, I thought it was time to replenish. These are almost exactly the same pieces only shinier! They wash well both by hand and in the dishwasher. Great unique product. Good weight to them without being unusable.

I love this set so much and get so many compliments on it, I decided it's what I want for life. So, knowing how, like socks in the laundry, teaspoons and forks disappear over time into la la land, I wanted to make sure I stash some replacements. I've seen this set at fine dining establishments and on TV shows as props. It's unique and great quality. I wish the teaspoons were smaller. But, I bought the mini-spoons and they work great for stirring coffee and eating yogurt.
Great price for great quality that will last a lifetime.

When I got my set I took a close look at the handles. Each one is slightly different. They are definitely done one at a time by hand. The steel also has no 'give' like other sets. It's thick and very hard. They look like they came from a blacksmith's shop Very cool!

They look great with my old Wilton Armetale since that stuff looks rustic as well.

I'm a bachelor and I just purchased eight place settings of this stainless flatware along with the serving pieces, because it looked rugged, handsome and I thought it looked fantastic. Well my order arrived today, April 22, 2010, and I can tell you unequivocally that this flatware is GORGEOUS and then some!!!! It is solid 18/10 stainless steel, extremely durable; all of it is hand made and has a very solid feel in your hand. Each piece is all stainless steel and the handles are left in that matte flat black rugged look. This flatware is guaranteed for 50 years, but just by the way it is made I can tell you that there is no way that you are ever going to destroy this flatware.

I thought the other reviews on this website were very, very helpful and I was very glad to see that others loved this stuff as much as I do. If you purchase this you will be extremely happy with it without any doubt!!!! Enjoy!!!!!!
