I've had these for almost ten years now and after heavy use, they still look the same as the day I bought them. Love these place settings!

I was a little hesitant to order this set without seeing it in person, but I'm glad I did! The flatware is beautiful with its clean, simple lines but it also is of high quality. The edges are smooth and the pieces have some weight to them.
The only two disadvantages are: (1) waterspots when air dried but they wipe off easily, and (2) the pieces are long so I need a new flatware tray for my drawer. These are really minor issues,e asily overlooked.

I ordered this set to replace my old set that was getting dull and pitted after years of use and dishwasher cycles. I expected the quality to be about the same as the set I was replacing that was in the same price range and actually just a few dollars more. I'm happy to say that this set if far more impressive. I opened these up and was really surprised at how heavy the pieces are. They're also very long, which gives them a unique look and makes for a striking place setting. They have a beautiful mirror shine and smooth finish. And did I mention they're heavy? My better half commented on how the old set feels like cheap junk after feeling the weight of these pieces.The picture does not do the set justice. This is really beautiful flatware--they have a look that's sleek and still classic at the same time. The knives are one shaped piece instead of a thin, cheap blade stuck into a handle. The spoons are shaped with elongated curves that give them smooth, fluid look that's very attractive. They've already made several runs through the dishwasher and they come out looking brand new with no dulling so far of the mirror finish. No pitting or rust spots so far, with non-citrus detergent. The size and weight takes a little getting used to after years of using lighter, thinner utensils available in most sets--even the pricey ones. These are also completely smooth with rounded, polished edges--no rough or sharp places on fork tines or spoons. The only minor complaint I have is that the spoons are so deep they're a little hard to eat out of. We have to turn the spoons sideways instead of straight to eat off them. I was recently informed that turning the spoon sideways and sipping from it is apparently the "proper" way to use it anyway. Proper or not, I'd like a more shallow spoon. Still, only a small gripe and one I'm happy to live with given the quality and appearance of this set, especially for the price. I've paid more for lightweight, flat, "quality" sets with such sharp edges or rough finishes you can scrape your lip on them, or they rust, pit, or dull after a few washes. I've never found flatware this thick or heavy in local stores in my area, but I've seen several different designs from this maker at reasonable prices here on amazon. These have such a nice look and feel and I plan to order either a second set of these or one of the other designs from the same company to have service for eight.
