I have now accumulated service for 24 in this unique set of flatware, and needed the serving pieces to go with it. After ordering my first set of serving pieces from Amazon (one of the few places that carry it), and finding the quality, weight, and look of these so satisfying, I immediately ordered a second set of serving pieces, mainly for the extra serving spoons, although the other pieces will be used for large group entertaining as well. I'm already planning the dinner party to show off this new, beautiful set!

This hostess set is so beautiful. I am going to order 2 more so I don't run out of large serving spoons. I am impressed with the heaviness and quality handcraft of this pattern. They look beautiful on the table and I use them everyday.

FYI: do not use an abrasive on the patina (dark) finish, it will take the finish right off. You can probably put them in the dishwasher, but if you're handwashing, let them soak in hot water for a couple of minutes to loosen stuck-on debris and use a sponge or something soft; do not scrub with anything abrasive.

Are good quality & really durable. Unfortunately, dishwasher temperature causes the black to slowly fade.

If you have the Avalon flatware, this is a great compliment/completer set. The sugar spoon is a unique shape...the perfect addition to complete your flatware...

My husband and I had been looking for silverware with matching hostess set for a long time. This is the first one that we had found that we both liked the look of. We took the chance and ordered them online. I have to say, we couldn't be happier with what we got. The quality is AWESOME and the design is even better. I plan to keep this set for YEARS and YEARS!

This hostess set is beautiful and weighty. It's a nice compliment set to my everyday flatware from another manufacturer. I was about to buy a 3 piece set at twice the price when I came across this one. I'm glad I waited. I received the product quickly and without any damage.

The photo shown of this item is what I ordered and requested, however, what I received was totally different. I already have a 12 place setting of this beautiful "Avalon" pattern and I love it. I was sent, instead, a very different modern and incorrect pattern with a sticker on the boxes saying "Avalon" when indeed it wasn't. I sent the wrong hostess sets back with my printed copy of the correct "Avalon" picture requesting the correct ones to be replaced and sent back to me. The items were not exchanged for me, but a return notice on my e-mail. So, I have no hostess set and I'm out the shipping costs.

When I received this item the package was obviously tampered with. All the secure ties holding each item were cut and the silverware was loose within the box. This was a return from another customer. Because I was giving this item as a gift, I could not give the set in this condition. I was very disappointed.
