First off, a minor discrepancy with the product picture. It shows the walls of the pan angling inward like a skillet, when in reality they are straight with a slightly rounded off bottom. (EDIT: correct picture is now shown)

The floor of my pan warped after using it once, before I even washed it. I e-mailed Gourmet Standard's customer service, and they immediately shipped me a new pan.

I haven't had any problems with the replacement in the three months I've had it. It heats up very quickly and evenly, and works equally well in the oven as it does on the range. The lid is strong and fits securely.

The equivalent pan made by All-Clad sells for about $250, and won the sauté pan performance test held by Cook's Illustrated. Gourmet Standard was a close second. I haven't had first-hand experience with the All-Clad pan, but I can't imagine the performance increase is enough to justify the significantly higher price tag.

I ordered this heavy pan after a reliable TV show compared it to ALL-CLAD. It is as good as the ALL-CLAD pan that my mother-in-law has but cost me half the price than she paid for her ALL-CLAD. Everything she has is the BEST. I like to get the best that I can afford. Gourmet Standard Professional Series Stainless Tri-Ply is one of those items. I have purchased more pieces of this same line and I am as pleased with them as I still am with my first piece.
