Well made heavy duty pan.

5.0 out of 5 stars BUY IT WHILE YOU STILL CAN!, September 22, 2010

This is probably the best deal you will EVER find on an 18/10 stainless steel cookie sheet. The quality is absolutely amazing, and I mean that from a critical perspective. Most of my cookware consists of Viking 7-ply. I also have some Le Creuset, All Clad, Demeyere, and my ever indispensable Lodge cast iron pieces. (You just cannot beat good ol' fashioned cast iron for fried chicken, cornbread, and the like). I very much appreciate high quality cookware, and the superior results that it can facilitate. This company (Gourmet Standard), had some wonderful pieces for the price point while they were in business. Cook's Illustrated consistently rated them equal in performance to All Clad, but at about one half the price. I say "had" because they have since gone out of business (due to poor marketing I can only imagine). I own several Gourmet Standard pieces, and I can tell you for sure that the performance is comparatively identical to that of All Clad. The construction and aesthetics are at least equal as well in my opinion. I own two of this particular pan. This is a genuine try-ply piece; meaning that there is a sheet of 18/10 stainless on the bottom and top, sandwiching a solid sheet of copper in the middle. A very heavy, and substantial piece of cookware I assure you. All Clad sells a very comparable version of this same pan for 85.00 at Sur La Table. If you were to compare them side by side you would see that they are both equivalent pans, save the fact that this pan (the Gourmet Standard one), is currently available for 60.00 less. To put this into perspective, you could literally purchase three of these pans, and still have 10.00 left over! For 25.00 with free shipping and no tax, this is unquestionably one of the very best deals I have ever come upon. If you are looking for an exceptionally high quality stainless steel cookie sheet that will last for a few lifetimes, then I sincerely suggest that you "pounce" on this opportunity while it is still available! I am quite sure that you will be most happy that you did. Cheers, & Bon Appétit!

5.0 out of 5 stars Gourmet Standard Tri-Ply Cookie Sheet, June 29, 2010

In an effort to replace my old aluminum and non-stick bakeware, my search led me to Gourmet Standard brand of stainless steel bakeware. I had previously purchased their stainless steel jellyroll pans and was blown away with their beautiful finish as well as how heavy they were. While I would have preferred solid stainless steel, this cookie sheet with its tri-ply construction is equal in quality--there should be no warping with this hefty pan! As with other reviews I've read regarding stainless steel bakeware, the manufacturers seem to have a love affair with adhesive labels--both the jellyroll pans and the cookie sheet required a workout with Disolve-It to remove the adhesive labels. Other than this minor inconvenience, I am extremely happy with the quality of Gourmet Standard bakeware and would highly recommend spending the extra bucks--you will be pleased with the quality.

After I got married four years ago I made an inexpensive investment in non-stick bakeware, including non-stick cookie sheets. There are many problems with using non-stick bakeware: non-stick coating is toxic, difficult to remove burnt on food because steel wool and metal utensils will scratch the surface, and many brands are not heavy enough and warp at high temperatures. I tried air bake products and non-stick dark bakeware. I was very unhappy with all of these products. I finally decided to invest a little more money in quality stainless steel cookware and bakeware and undertook a massive assignment and spent hours and hours on many websites and in many stores to find long lasting, quality products. I was looking for something in high gauge stainless steel, with a heavy weight, and right price. Stainless steel products survive the test of time and abuse. I looked into All-Clad stainless cookie sheets but they are expensive. When I began looking the larger sheet was over $100 each (it has now gone down in price a bit but is still very pricey) I didn't want to quite spend that much even though the All-Clad sheets are top quality. Other major stainless manufacturers don't make stainless cookie sheets for unknown reasons: such as Calphalon or Cuisinart. Many other stainless sheets that I found were thin and could be pushed a tiny bit with pressure so I knew these would warp. Then I found the Gourmet Standard products. These are of the same high quality as All-Clad at a fraction of the cost. Large cookie sheets with very heavy weight that will not warp. And the price could not be beat. Sadly, Gourmet Standard went out of business a few years ago and the only pieces being sold are from discounters who bought excess stock. If you can get these at a good price, take them. They are lifelong investments that you will pass down to your children. P.S. Some people complain about cleaning stainless steel pans such as these. The trick to removing any leftover oil residue or food is to let the pan cool a bit so it is just warm and soak it in warm water. If you still have some stubborn residue, rub with baking soda and water.

My husband bakes cookies all the time and this cookie sheet works wonderfully! I found this cookie sheet when we decided to get rid of all the non-stick cooking items. I am quite happy with my purchase.

Haven't cooked on them yet but these are very substantial sheets with a very glossy finish. Has edges that allow for things to be slid off which seems like a good idea for saving time. Makes me want to bake just feeling the weight of them.

Had a real hard time getting it off!
Definitely use parchment paper or spray if using these!
