I guess it all depends on your teacher but this is a good text book. I had the class once a week sow e where expected to read a chapter a week and then be able to discuss it. Don't try to read the chapters last minut because they are kind of long and take more then an hour to read but you can skim them and understand them easily. I liked this book but like I said it all depends on your teacher. My teacher told us to get the workbook and I was the only idiot who did but that can help a little but this is just a basic goverment text book for a introduction class so much of the stuff is common knowledge
