This review is from: Kingship and Government in Pre-Conquest England, C.500-1066 (British History in Perspective (Hardcover St. Martins)) (Hardcover)
If you want to see the who, how and when of early England and it's leadership Ann is the authority.
She leaves no leaf or dated document unturned to tell the tale of England's.. Past and beginning.
Ann Williams offers so much to us mere mortals. Her through searches and research of the long lost and untold is remarkable.
What an asset to us all. If not for someone so keen to learn more about her subject and to then share it with the world we would likely be left to the dark ages.

4.0 out of 5 stars great service...book in super condition, July 30, 2008
Written in a more erudite than 'novelistic' way, but an excellent book to have and refer to often. Seller's product was in great shape and shipped in a timely fashion.
