Little did I know when I purchased these toe warmers for our ski trip, that my husband had bought battery powered socks already. Day 1: below zero. Tried the battery socks. Froze! Day 2: below zero. Forget the battery socks! Wore thin socks, with one toe warmer stuck under my toes, and one on top of my toes, then a heavier pair of socks over that. My feet were sweating! At lunch, I completely dried the socks on my left foot & removed the toe warmers; while keeping my right foot just as it was- wet with 2 warmers. Didn't take long for the left foot to freeze.
Long story short.... I wouldn't cold weather ski without these again! My toes are ALWAYS cold anyway. The warmers have an adhesive strip that you attach to your sock. Product is thin enough that you won't even really notice it in a ski boot. You can wear it either under or above your toes, but one warmer per foot is enough. My toes were still a little cold, but not frozen & uncomfortable. And they really do last all day.

The Best Toe Warmers,
This review is from: Grabber Warmers Air Activated Toe Warmer 8 Pair/Pack (Misc.)
The Grabber Toe Warmers are the best toe warmers available. They keep the toes warm even when the wind chill is below zero. I always use them on frigid days when I bicycle to and from work. The other brands, especially HOTTIES, are very inferior products -- so buy the Grabber brand.

Love these. Keep my toes just the right temperature. When my feet are warm, I'm very comfortable. They fit right under the toes, are very slim and don't interfere with shoe sizing.

Found the On/Off Switch for Commuting!,

I use these for bike commuting and wasn't happy that I needed to open a second pair for the cold PM commutes. So now I unstick them from my inner socks when I get to work and slip them in a baggy and squeeze out all the air. When I am ready to go home, I open the baggy, put them back on the toe of my sock and they warm up nicely. I am not sure if they reach the same temperature as on the AM commute, but no question that the lack of air slows or even stops the chemical reaction. Really cuts down on the cost and waste of using two pairs a day!

I purchased these toe warmers to use in a tree stand during rifle , bow and flintlock deer season below 30 degrees. They are excellent. I wear a Rocky leather boots with either 800 or 1000 grams of Thinsulate. When the tempeture is below 20 degrees in the morning I can last about 1.5 hours in the tree stand with just the boot, with the toe warmers I normally stay up 3 hours plus. I put them on before leaving home and drive anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour before arriving to hunt. They do not make my feet sweat. Great product, makes the hunt comfortable and doubles my time in the tree stand.

Works better than other brands,
This review is from: Grabber Warmers Air Activated Toe Warmer 8 Pair/Pack (Misc.)
I use these to keep my toes warm while alpine skiing on cold days. Even with a good thermo-fit boot liner my toes get cold after an hour or so. I have had frost bite on the tips of my toes in the past, so am extra careful now. They keep working for several hours, though on 20° days I replace them after about 3 hours.

These warmers are great if you plan on spending an extensive amount of time outdoors. My family went on a trip to London in March, and we were able to withstand the weather to visit outdoor sites using these warmers. Your feet do not get too hot and they are a perfect fit in shoes.

I tend to get cold easily and these help tremendously since I work outside at times throughout the year.

this was an excellent purchase, price was very reasonable. used it - each time it kept the feet toasty warm for over 6 hours to 8 hours and stuck to the socks well - sometimes i even walked around the house with these things stuck to the bottom of my socks - worked GREAT - loved it- kept a pair for my college going daughter in her backpack- so she can put them on - if she suddenly has to go out for a while. recommend them highly

I bought a single package (8 sets) to use as heating pads for my knee and my ankle on cold nights. They work great. It does take a few minutes for them to get really going but once that happened I had a good level of heat for almost 6 hours exactly.
