As someone who struggles with obsessive-compulsive thoughts and fears about my standing with the Lord it has been a tremendous blessing to read the spiritual autobiography of this great saint. Bunyan spent years in fear for his soul having thought he had committed an unforgiveable sin. But in the end he came through it and wrote "The Pilgrim's Progress" to encourage others. He died a courageous and much loved minister.This book has been more important for my walk with God than any other except the Word of God itself. I totally recommend it for any one who wonders whether it is possible to survive feelings of despair and come to true peace in Christ.

Excellent book after reading Pilgrims Progress. One now understands the background of Pilgrims Progress. I have this on my Kindle. John Bunyan called himself the chiefest of sinners but we can see how everyone fits this tag and the wonderful side of this book is he reminds us of the way out with Scriptures and his experiences. You can speed read through a lot of the middle portion of the book as he repeats himself lots, but don't miss the beginning and end. He is a reminder to me of God's grace extends to everyone who will believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and know Him as God tells us to. John 3:16
