I'm an occasional coffee drinker, but I read everyday. This book of sixty coffee devotions is well written. I loved phrases like, 'a strange scent of regret' and 'glistened like strings of dancing diamonds'.

If you need something to go with your morning coffee (besides a doughnut) try this book. You'll be encouraged and inspired! And you'll learn about those German coats...

I thoroughly enjoyed my copy. Just like coffee - it hits the spot.........Louise brings every day happenings into focus and relates them to our spiritual lives. This is all done in a gentle, readable and enjoyable manner. Buy one and enjoy! The perfect gift when you need to have a little something to give, but not sure what. This will be a blessing. Now, to get my hands on her other devotional!! (Faith Dipped Chocolate)

I've never been a coffee drinker, so when I received Louise Dumont's manuscript in the mail I didn't relish the thought of reading it. Because I've known Louise for several years through an online group, and I got to meet her at a writers conference, I decided to read at least a few pages of Grace By the Cup.

From the first page to the last I kept thinking of coffee drinkers who will love this book. Thanks to Dumont's insight and style, I forgot I didn't like coffee and enjoyed the devotionals far more than I thought I would. The anecdotes in Grace by the Cup lifted my spirit, but more importantly, they drew me closer to God. The brief bits of wisdom in each chapter were perfectly matched to appropriate scripture verses. These were Dumont's stories, not mine, yet each page reminded me of God's grace in my own life.

Reading Grace by the Cup is like sitting with a treasured friend over a cup of coffee, or some other beverage, and discussing life and how much God loves us. Dumont's conversational style set the tone for a book I know will delight both Christians and non Christians.

As I work my way through this devotional book, I am impressed by how timely the vignettes are and how often I can use the wisdom so creatively penned by Mrs. DuMont. Each devotional is perfect for my busy mornings and I find myself absorbing one quite often in the evening, too. Many of the scriptures used are favorites of mine and reading a new take on them has been refreshing. I have been blessed enormously by these devotionals and thank God anew for his grace.
