I really wanted to like this. It's visually stunning, a beautiful piece of design. Unfortunately it had serious problems and I was forced to return it. For such a high price, I would expect very few flaws. Instead, the left speaker crackled very badly right from the start, and the little drawer that is supposed to house your iPod was loose, unhinged somehow inside so that you couldn't push it in or pull it out properly. Very disappointing. However, we were able to connect it to our surround system to try, and the vinyl player sounds glorious. I just wish we had received a working product.

I got this as a gift and set it up in my office at work. I mostly use the piece for the radio. Great reception. It has become a a conversation piece and the sound quality of the music is outstanding. The button labels are kind of difficult to read, as they are raised bronze on bronze. However, you get used to where they are located. Overall, it's easy to use and well made. I love attaching my iphone to it! The drawer on the side is niffty.

Its a quality music piece.

First of all, I just wanna say that its cool being able to play all my vinyl and cassettes on this one unit...it's pretty cool looking, kinda retro and the fact that I can plug my iPhone and mp3 players in plus theres a usb port to connect a computer too, all makes this a cool little stereo, BUT, there are some things that are just not good... Like I said, its fun and its neat playing some of my old vinyl but the sound on this little thing sucks big time...I have a set of external powered speakers that I plugged into the headphone out jack and it made it sound much better but if you are going to just use the built in speakers to this box....you will be very disappointed...it sounds a little better than a transistor radio...if you want all of these feature and good sound too..I would stay away from this stereo unless you have a good set of external speakers to plug in.

Once I plugged my speakers in I liked this much better. Still there are things that I don't like but for the money I guess its all relative.

PRO's
1. Its and all in one box that you can pretty much play any medium on...radio, turntable, cd, cassette, iPhone/mp3, usb port. only thing missing is 8track.
2. It looks cool.
3. You can put vinyl and cassettes onto your computer to create mp3s if you want to.
3. Doesn't take up much space.

Con's
1. Sounds like crap
2. The dial is very hard to read, not a big deal but it is hard to see what it says
3. The cassette starts as soon as you put it in and there is only one button to fast forward and eject.
4. The turntable is supposed to automatically turn off after it reaches the end of the album but it does not.
5. There is no remote control. This unit would be much better if it came with a remote control.

Don't waste your time ordering this item...it's a piece of junk. You cannot read the dails and I have 20/20
vision. I even tried using a flash lite and still can't see the readings.. The radio reception is lousy. I can't
understand why Amazon even list this item on their Web. It's going back, believe me

I enthusiastically bought this for my Mom as a Christmas gift, it turns out that was a HUGE mistake!

She was so happy when she opened it, then that look turned to disappointment when the cd player made a terrible noise when trying to open, scratched a cd, and would not work. Turns out there was a wire hanging down, and the item was cheaply put together. The turntable was not set into place, and you could lift it up almost an inch from the platform.

I sent that one back and asked for a replacement for her, only to have the same issue with the replacement as well!! This product is very poorly put together!

Do not waste your money on this item! I would give this item a zero, but that was not an option. :(

Having a bunch of records and nothing to play it on didn't make much sense, so I purchased the Grace Digital Sound Writer 7-in-1 Stereo Entertainment Center. The case feels and looks really nice, however, I wasn't as pleased with the quality of the technology inside.

First, the turntable seems to be just stuck on the top. Its very wobbly and doesn't feel like it's "integrated" with the cabinet itself.

Second, the CD player had a gummy substance on the tray and now it doesn't work anymore.

We haven't tried may of the other features, but the sound quality did sound pretty reasonable when we played some records through it. Since I bought it to mainly play the records, and that feature works reasonably well, it's not a total loss, but I am disappointed nonetheless. It's not what I've come to expect from Grace Digital products.

I received one of these as a Christmas gift, and I've been on and off using it. It's a travesty really. I've got an expanding vinyl collection, and the only way I can really listen to it on my own time is with this piece of junk. As of late it has been playing records faster than they are supposed to be played, which ruins the experience completely. I have a Sony record player that I paid $80 for that, with the right speakers, would blow this thing away. I don't even use the radio, cassette, CD, and mp3 inputs to know how they work, but I know that the CD drive doesn't close on its own (you have to hold the flap down). Save yourself a lot of money and disappointment and buy something else that's of higher build quality.
