The 3-Play Jukebox Bluetooth Adapter is a nifty little device. I had no difficulty pairing it with three Android phones (two active phones and one old phone that's only on wi-fi now) as device "3PlayJambadoo." First, however, I had to load an app named "Grace 3Play" from the Google Play Store. (Note that the user guide says the app is named "3PlayJambadoo" - this is incorrect.)

Once the three phones were paired, it was simple to switch from one to another. I tried to show how easy it was in my video, and I think I was successful. Note that I was using three Android devices, and I can't vouch for non-Android devices.

Grace Digital has developed a really nifty little gadget, which to my knowledge is the only device of its kind at this time.

A product sample was provided by the manufacturer on the promise of an honest, unbiased review.

The short of it: Superb audio quality; limited range 9ft (3 meters); first unit dead/refunded, second unit functional.

In more detail: The first unit I received of the Grace Digital GDI-BTPB300 3Play Jukebox Bluetooth Adapter (Black) was unfortunately defective. It simply wouldn't pair with my phone (Samsung Galaxy S5). It was promptly refunded by Amazon. Communicating with the vendor, Grace Digital, wasn't very fruitful--but as expected Amazon came through speedily and refunded the entire purchase. (Grace Digital eventually sent a return label at their expense for the already-refunded defective unit.) I then ordered again the exact same Grace product. It again took a few days to arrive but this time the new unit performed, and continues to do so, beautifully: its high data transfer rate through Bluetooth version 4 means less compression of audio, and its optical output jack inoculates against analog degradation in signal prior to amplifier. (This is in stark contrast to a Yamaha unit I had previously purchased--and retunred--the Yamaha YBA-11 Bluetooth Wireless Audio Receiver. That Yamaha product is hindered by its low data transfer rate through its outdated Bluetooth version 2.1, and that results in lower audio quality--akin to 92 kbps MP3 (or lower) meaning bad soundstage, absent transients, muddled bass.

A caveat: connected to my Samsung Galaxy S5 the range of the unit is **only** about 9ft (3 meters)which is deplorable for such an otherwise high-quality product.

The GraceDigital 3-play Jukebox Bluetooth Receiver is one of those gadgets that you didn't realize you needed until you get one. It's really cool how this little thing works. I do have a few issues with it however that I discuss at the end of my review.

In the simplest terms, it's a bluetooth receiver (aptX enabled, SBC, AAC) that allows you to stream music from your smartphone, computer or tablet to a audio speaker or other audio component (like a stereo receiver.) You can also use it with wired headphones. The "trick" is that it can maintain 3 simultaneous bluetooth connections (and it can remember pairings with up to 7 devices.) This means that if you're playing music with one connected device and begin to play music on a 2nd (or 3rd) connected device, the 3-Play Jukebox hands off the connection to the most current device that has started to play music.

In practical terms it means that if you have several bluetooth devices connected to the 3-Play Jukebox, you do not have to un-pair a device in order to enable another bluetooth device to connect to it. I find this extremely useful since I have several devices (iPhone, iPad and Laptop) each of which has it's own music library. Previously if I wanted to use a bluetooth receiver to stream music to a non-bluetooth speaker, I would have to pair each device singly to the bluetooth receiver and then break the connection in order to pair another device so that I could play music from that second device. Now I don't have to go through the extra steps to do that since three devices can simultaneously be connected. It's really great. As soon as music from the second or third connected device is started, the currently playing device will be automatically be paused and the new device will beging playing.

This Grace Digital 3Play Jukebox is the answer for anyone who wants to connect/disconnect multiple devices to a single set of non-Bluetooth speakers. Or for someone who doesn't have Bluetooth in the car and who wants to play music from up to three devices, one at a time. The 3Play is quick, and it's easy.

The 3Play is a small box -- 2.25" x 1.75" x .75" -- that receives the Bluetooth signal from your smartphone, computer, or tablet and plays it through your car or home speakers. Unlike other Bluetooth receivers, the Grace Digital remembers up to three different devices so that all you have to do is play from one, and it goes through the receiver and into the speakers. If you start to play music through a different pre-connected device, it pauses the first and then activates the second without your having to go through a menu.

Pairing is as easy as any Bluetooth device. It comes with an audio cable for use with a car stereo or other output devices that allows for aux jack input. You can also connect the receiver to speakers using a 3.5 mm to Toslink cable (not included) or an RCA adapter (also not included.) Because it runs on battery power (USB to microUSB cable, via computer or wall charger), it's extremely portable. I leave mine plugged in, however, because that way I don't forget to charge it.

I've used this successfully with two iPhones (4 and 5) and a 3rd generation iPad. The sound is great, although, obviously, it depends on the quality of the output speakers. This would be a great device for a roommate situation with only one set of speakers or for a family with multiple devices. Note: I received a sample for review.
